    Hi all, More Ipad confusion..... someone please help :( (I cant try this at the moment cos I'm STILL waiting for my VPP code from crApple). 1. With VPP registered in Meraki, can I push apps out without the user having to enter a password to install. 2. Must I have a credit card verified apple ID on the ipads for the pushed apps to install. 3. When you deployed your ipads, if staff members created their own ID what did you do about the credit card requirement to first use the ID. Cheers in advance ; )

    Hi all, Does anyone know what does this means. Getting profile install errors using Apple Configurator... Error 4001 On the Ipad getting... The configuration of your iPad could not be downloaded from XXXXSCHOOL. The operation could not be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1012) Wifi is connected. Was working a couple of days ago ????????????????????????????????????????????

    Cheers, got a new Mac mini last week with Yosemite. Now Im getting another error that I didnt get before from a profile that installs only WiFi and another that installs the Meraki app. The configuration of your iPad could not be downloaded from MyCo. The operation could not be completed. (NSURLErrorDomain error -1012) Goes from the Hello screen, then choose wifi, then enrol. Enrollment fails. Any idea what that is?? Wifi is connected. And they're reporting to Meraki so its not their Internet connection. No domain is configured in the Configurator profile either. These things are driving me nuts !

    Nice one @steewy. It was the profile. I think I have a conflict between Meraki and Apple Config' profiles. Using Apple config to set up a passcode and configure the wireless. Meraki can do everything else. Apple config doesn't work well does it !!! Cheers again. Problem solved ; )

    Okay, So I'm setting up my first batch of Ipads (Mini's). Got them all in a Lapcabby cart, USB'd to a Mac running Apple Configurator. Got my profile installed, Meraki profile installed, update to IOS 8 etc I'm getting a message on all of them saying "Guided Access App Unavailable. Contact your Administrator" Screens are locked, buttons are locked, can only get a response if I replug the USB lead in then the screen doesn't respond. Done a hard reboot but the same. Whats going on ???

    Cheers @Brimstone You're right m8. Set Meraki up yesterday. I'm pretty sure I need to 'Apple Configurator' them aswell. Looking at that today. Whats OSX Server like to use. Is it worth buying ? Done VPP (after .. how long) None of my suppliers are DEP registered yet. Can you answer this plz... I'm gonna set them up with unique Id's. Can I group them in Meraki/Apple Configurator so they sync just in those groups ?? Cheers again

    I've just checked mine. 2 DNS's both DC's. Mines is actually set up like @Steve21 DC1 primary = DC2 DC2 primary - DC1 Secondary's point to 127.0.0.1 Must have come across that before

    Hi all, I know this may have been asked a million times but I need a quick solution/guidance for this.... I have about 20 Ipads here where the Apple ID's are grouped.... e.g. Dept 1 has 6 with Id ***@****, Dept 2 has 10 with Id ***@**** They all sync photo's etc together - a problem. I take it that I have to set up a unique ID on each of them, which I cant now do because we don't have a debit/credit card which is required (No, Im not using mine!) a) Can I change the Id's with Apple configurator without a credit card ? b) Can I push apps bought via VPP to them and lock them down with this set up ? c) Can I still sync apps/photos etc between groups of them with unique Id's ? I have a boat load of them arriving in a month and need to manage them better. I've just taken delivery of a Mac mini to control them with (still in the box). Have I got enough to do it? Cheers all ; ) P.S... Please don't suggest 3rd party MDM solutions 'cos I still haven't had my budget approved for this year
