Nooooo widescreen is the future!! I feel so constrained with a 4x3 monitor! I have a 24 incher. 1920 x 1200 fantastic quality. I also have a 22 inch next to it but i rarely use it, the screen is great for the W7 side snap feature which you just couln'dt do with a 4x3!

If it is Vista or 7 right click on the speaker icon and click on show playback devices. In there select a different card as default. If you cant see them because some stupid realtek card is installed then make sure you right click and show disabled devices it should show the disconnected devices listed and you can select one of them as default. ( Some times the realtek devices are disabled because the jack detection is either knackered or is turned off )

Does it show all the fields up to the last field? If it is reading past the end of the database then it will give an exception. If its not that you could try the catch statement when reading the db each loop rather than just giving it one chance to fail. A fall back could then be used in the app so that even after a failed read you could still read to the end of the database file rather than it stopping half way through due to an error. eg Try While reader.read Try msgbox(reader.item("field_here")) Catch ex As Exception msgbox("!ERROR!") Anyone seen this message before? (FILE ATTACHED) We have had it for a while and I can't seem to pinpoint the original cause. We have also started getting USB pens which are infected with those annoying autorun malware things... unsure if the two are related as the USB pen issue has only recently come to light. The pens contain an autorun.inf file which renames some of the context menu functions to things liike Browser. Examining the autorun file shows that it is trying to execute a file called autorun.exe in RECYCLER. Both issues have me stumped!!

I highly doubt that Facebook will incorporate any of the others features. If i remember rightly, i think bebo has great spam featues, that is to make sure that you recieve the maximum amount of spam. Similar to myspace! I think that facebook will want to keep far away from that!

Have to disagree about the NVidia cards!! Over priced currently! The ATI variants are easily better for the price. Shader model 3.0 is down to the 7800GT cards so any new card will support it. I would recommend going for a high memory card around 1gb of GFX RAM. The ATI 48xx range is excellent for the price.

SIMSPerm is to be run after install of the SIMS program. It needs to be done with admin rights as its changing permissions on folders

This file is useless if you have an RM network btw, as all group names in the RM system are preceeded by RM (and a blank space) and when run the file will only accept string input up to the first space!! So ours (RM Teaching Staff) doesn't work We havent had the problem you describe though :s

Built in HD Sat is not that common. You get the extra Ch4 HD which you don't get on others as well

ITV HD I can confirm is free to air on Sky. Dissapointinly E4HD is not. But there will soon be channel 5 HD available too for CSI and The Mentalist I have just got a £19 package, quality is excellent actually was really pleased.

Could have a look at a prefab house, not sure how much they come in at but they go up quicker than standard builds! Anyhow you will also have to decide if its a good investment. Does it have good access from the road? Or will it be like a eyesore to have two houses in close proximity, limiting the value you could get for both properties. One thing you don't want to do is build a house which isn't worth the investment, otherwise you would bankrupt yourself if you needed to move out as the sale value would not be as great as the mortgage.

I have Android 2.1 on my Touch HD atm, tis v good. Runs better without Sense UI as its less memory hungry but I really like the interface of Android.

If it only connected to motorways.... how would you get on it without going through the centre of loads of towns effectively clogging up the smaller roads. Lets face it, too many people live in too small an area. You will never win, they create more roads and more people get cars. Roads get bigger and people fill em with bigger cars.

Yeah you just adjust the hand in folder to write access when its created. We don't use them anyhow as the way our students have been entered means me adding 500+ groups to each room just so the hand in folders don't contain every student in the school!!!!

I would suggest adding in the frontersupport.com rss feed to a reader on a local machine. I have it and it tells you of any outages that they are currently experiencing. There was a latency problem earlier today, it should be sorted now though. We have all students as read only and the teacher responsible for the room as owner. The write access option is just asking to be abused by students!!

If Bristol roads didn't allow traffic in, it would be a pretty un eventful city... They are experimenting with the traffic lights due to a study in Norway or Sweden which suggested that allowing drivers to drive across more dangerous junctions like that made them much more cautious and improved traffic flow. Still doesn't prove that people are actively designing roads to be a pain! Anyway we all know the solution to everything is to put all the chavs in a rocket and send them to space camp. Roads would be much safer Plus think of all the metal and waste we could save not having those stupid body kits on cars!

Again though these places were built long before the volume of traffic currently seen by the roads was forseen. They were not designed this way to handle this traffic. The examples you have suggested are countermeasures to reduce the amount of traffic which is great but it still doesn't prove that roads are designed to slow us down! W-S-M is now having a road upgrade and they have spent thousands of pounds on computer modelling to improve traffic flow!!

Roads aren't 'designed' to slow down traffic! Thats insane, they go to huge lengths to stop that from happening. Its sheer volume of traffic in small areas that is the problem. I used to live in Dorset and had no problem driving from place to place on some of the most shocking quality roads. Now I live in Weston Super Mare and it has lovely huge roads but SOOOOOOO much traffic and it just can't cope. But they didn't design the roads to be a pain in the butt! They were designed for a town over 20 years ago when cars looked like boxes and mobile phones could be used to build houses. Times have changed, I do agree that mroe funding needs to go in to alternative energy, I do beleive that bio fuels should be mixed into our current oil fuels to increase supply and ease us into a bio fuel economy.

I agree I don't think they support it. Although I did attend a 'applications integration' course recently and they had virtualised an RM domain controller on each station for us to use! So im guessing its possible, whether or not performance is good I am unsure as RM tend to do stuff in weird ways!
