In the menu options where you set the position. There is a box bottom left with all you articles in it you should see the pages that you created after the menu not highlighted. Just select what pages you want that menu on

Yes a XP machine will do, install WAMP, download which ever Joomla package you want EduJoomla is good;) follow this guide and you should be up and running in 10 minutes:D

Thats the cheapest I've seen them, that one has a slightly different voltage, so I phoned lenovo to confirm that it would work with the R61 and it does

Yes I had the same problem with the install not creating the config.php, I just created myself made it writable and went through the install. One thing I will say is test any Mods, Com, Plugins on a local copy of the site first it saves a lot of time doing re installs if you break it.

What sort of functionality are you looking for?? from your site. maybe find a free joomla template change the colours to your team colours maybe?? like this but change pictures and stuff

You could use a component called 'joomlapack' (sorry no link on mobile) back up your site and database to a zip file. Move the file to new machine unzip in web root. Create database and user, then to though the install as normal it'll recreate the site on the new machine

I use JCE Editor you need to download the Admin component and the Editor plugin. Then change your editor in Global config. It allows you to browse files, articles etc to link to them a lot easier than typing in the full path to the document -

Is the show pictues box checked in the advanced tab of internet options?

You need to make sure the configuration.php is writable via ftp of plesk depends on your access to your webspace. If you are still having trouble create a blank configuration.php before you go though the install remmebering to make it writable.

Yes, their warranty support is very good. Faulty touchpad phoned lenovo on the friday engineer out Monday morning to replace it.

We have replaced ours with Lenovo Thinkpad R series. They have been a very study reliable machine. The few problems we have had have been sorted very quickly. Customer service has been very good.
