The host machine is a Dell with a core i5-4590 @ 3.3Ghz, Windows 7 64bit, and 8Gb of ram. The virtual machine is Windows 7 enterprise 4Gb ram, 1 processor, 100% executioncap. The emulated graphics card has 32meg, 1 monitor and 3d accel turned on. Storage is Immutable VDI 60GB. The host computer has Virtual Machine Acceleration (VT-x) turned on in the bios.

Looks like they have taken a great story and replaced it with a bunch of tired old clichés from Robocop - 1st of your kind, finding out who you were before, possibly pressganged into in. There is no need for any of that. It's mean to be about the nature of humanity, where the line between machine and human is. I was a huge fan of the original film, and the Stand Alone Complex (not so much Innocence), and watching the trailer looks like it will be a 'good' mindless action film, complete with subtitles for the hard of thinking.

We tend to use UP Plus 2 printers. Have 4 now. Really easy to set up and use. No complex decision about speeds and slicing, just point it at an STL file and choose resolution and fill density and it does the rest. Semi Automated bed levelling, just plug in a dongle and attach it to the nozzle, and select bed levelling, and it makes all the measurements automatically, remove dongle and print. On the UP site they are currently £780, but you can find suppliers cheaper than that. I think we pay about £650 ish. Compare UP 3D printers

I had this with one of my machines, turned out to be because it had a uefi, but was set to legacy (bios). Windows 10 didn't like this and would only detect the disks with the secure boot.

We've just rolled out Impero and are very impressed with it. It's not without its niggles, but having looked into a few products we decided that impero was by far the best offering, and the price was rather competitive. Yes, it's expensive but the competition is even more expensive in some cases. The management are loving the child safety aspects, but even more so the staff are loving the classroom management. We have already seen a huge decrease in misuse of the computers by pupils.

I run Virtual PC with no network too. Visual Studio 2013 runs without issue on it. It cannot download the latest news, but everything else works fine. We also put Python, IIS, Wamp, Lazarus (pascal with IDE), Java and a couple of other things on it. We set up the VM to have immutable disks, and hide the manager program so they cant run it via that. Only a script that keeps it locked down. Every time it's started it's in the same condition as 1st time. They use a mapped drive (\\vboxsvr\N_Drive) to access their school MY Documents from the host.

Strangely while waiting for replies on here, I did indeed try Veracrypt. We will be upgrading to windows 10 at some point, but that is a ways down the road. I had a feeling that bitlocker wouldn't allow windows 7 to encrypt with password. Thanks for the info. Pete.

Hello, Wondering if anyone could help. I'm trying to configure Bitlocker on windows 7 enterprise (domain joined machines) without TPM. I've set the 'require additional information' GPO and various password complexity ones. However, the only open I get when I turn bitlocker on for a system drive is Require a Startup key at every startup. Is it possible, and how would I configure it to require a password/pin to unlock the drive rather than a usb memory stick? I've read various articles online about how to do it, but I don't get the options they show. Hoping someone can help. Thanks Pete.

Wonderful. Hopefully this will work on our standalone machines. (cant launch on our domain machines, as we redirect a lot of folders, so when it looks for c:\users.... etc they are not there) It might be an idea for a newer version to use .net's SpecialFolders methods which will ensure that things go to the right location when they are re-directed. Or having them configurable in the config file.

Sounds like a bad computer. The USB ports on the computer *should* not be able to source more than 500mA of power, no matter the drain. The worst that happens to any of our dell machines when someone shorts the USB is the power supply shuts off. Most USB charged devices will draw a max of 2A which at 5v is 10W of power. That shouldn't set fire to things unless it's running through very thin wires. The damage looks to be at the computer side of things, not the cable, so I'd blame the computer.

Played it for a couple of days. It's too fussy about how long you play for. Ignore it for a day and when you come back your shelter is short on resources and it's ages to build them back up. got to about 25 or so in the shelter, then uninstalled it as dull.

I'm figuring this is an update to windows 10? I had this issue, when I did a clean install from windows 10 ISO, it gave me a more meaningful error. It was complaining that my motherboard had a uefi system rather than bios, and MBR disks were not allowed with UEFI. I had to reformat my disks to GPT and then it went on no trouble.

I got fed up with trying to faff about with handbrake and other programs. So I got DVD ripper from borosoft. Paid for it (shudder), but it works, its simple to use, and excellent for quickly ripping discs to .mpg to stream from my nas to my firetv stick.

What aspects of photography is she interested in? Landscapes are possibly the easiest, it's just point and shoot, the art is in the framing and your eye for a good shot. Portrait and closeup photography is more of a technical and artistic challenge. Amazon do a fantastic flash unit - Linky I have one of these, and a remote unit for it for off-camera flash. A couple of these is a great start for studio portraiture.

Of course, to bring the proper level of pedantry to this conversation. The poster is the fastest accelerating ships, not the fastest overall ship, for which you can't beat the Heart Of Gold, which can pass through every point of the universe simultaneously.

I picked it up when it was on sale, so I could follow its development, as my brother loves fishing, but his disabilities mean he doesn't get to go anymore. I was quite surprised how good it was. Maybe not a great game at the moment, but tons of potential.
