  1. I had a similar issue where no captcha image appeared, but I just refreshed my page which solved the issue for me.
  2. Hi @Mako Thanks for your reply! I'll take a look at that now!
  3. Hi All Sorry to revive an old thread (especially one about the Pearson Onscreen Platform!) but we've had a few issues recently when we've tried to run the tests here. The main issue is that about a minute or so into the exam, we get an error saying "Edi.Advance.Tdp.Client.exe has stopped working." This happens on every machine and usually only lasts a minute or so, but for some users, it will lock the PC completely, so only a reboot will fix it. Tried the Pearson online chat, they directed me to call them, and then went to their support page to see they were having issues with their phones! Any help appreciated as always! Joe
  4. All of the Governors here use a College email address, and this has really only been in place since September. A couple use their personal email address every now and then, but the PA is usually there to remind them to use the correct address!
  5. We had the Duke of Kent open one of the buildings in our school back when I was a student there. A few of us got asked to hold the doors open and we were there for about an hour until we saw this crowd of people walk quickly by us - the person holding the other door didn't realise it was him!
  6. Here, we're working on a rota system - at least one of us is in college while the others are working from home. I've been in Tuesday and I'm back in again tomorrow.
  7. I've used CBT Nuggets, which was great as the course had virtual labs to practice on. Udemy can also be quite good, and they sometime have ridiculous offers - a course can go from £199 to £19!
  8. I did a week of work experience when I was in Year 12 at the college where I studied, and in Year 13, rather than having blank lessons on my timetable, I volunteered with the ICT Team again. Not long after, another tech left and I was offered the job! Still here, six years later! Have always been into computers, starting when my mum got a Megadrive when I was 4/5 years old - we'd spend hours on Sonic 1, and later, Sonic 2's multiplayer mode.
  9. For guests, we have created a separate SSID which is on its own VLAN. Guests connect to it and then they're prompted to create a guest account, which one of us can then authorise (for a limited time too, if required). Filtering is done by Smoothwall. When guests sign in, they're prompted to agree to our AUP, which states that they must have up-to-date AV before we'll allow them on the network.
  10. +1 for the Casio projectors - we've used them for the last five years and they are pretty good! I think the XJ-M141s were the first Lamp Free Casio projectors, and the V10Xs are good too!
  11. One of the people in our Accounts department handles lettings, and they use Booking Pro. Can't say that we've had many issue with it - it's only really when it gets upgraded then we get involved.
  12. Not used that system, but we're using Sign In App here. We were using paper copies for visitors up until September and our receptionists like it - we have it setup so that when a guest arrives for certain members of staff, they receive an email telling them so. It's not too bad to setup either, but one of the downsides is that we had to purchase an approved printer; in this case, it was a small Brother label printer. The company seem to be pretty good at supporting it as well. https://signinapp.com/
  13. Received this email as well today - didn't think that it was suspect as I had received emails from this address earlier in the day. Didn't realise that Capita had changed the way you log incidents for CRC until today, and when I logged a call, it came from the same email address.
  14. Hi everyone! I'm Joe and I'm a ICT/AVA Technician in one of the biggest secondary schools here in sunny Devon! Couldn't think of a good username so just went with what the students call me - ICT-Joe!
