Here are 3 more video's I have made, the most fun to make was definutly the Brentor Church video, it was the strongest wind I have flown in yet... Tavistock Meadows: Brentor Church: Davidstow Airfield: I have got alot of footage of Launceston Castle which I will be making into a video soon.... Quadcopter bits and kits are springing up left right and centre at the moment, there are some great RTF Quadcopters now (not just AR Drones lol)

@SimpleSi thats a brilliant idea, wish I had a quadcopter club when I was in school I guess you would have to make a frame with enclosed props (health&saftey), there are frames out there like that but you lose about ~10% thrust through the mesh, or just keep off the props until fly time. The mind boggles with possibilities. @Gibbo I see he is using 2.4g radio gear aswell, its a great quad and great video. New video: FPV Quadcopter Plymouth

The AR Drone 2.0 is great, looks amazing, great tech applied and I am glad people have ported the software to Android because I wouldn't touch an ipad/iphone, not even with 'yours' lol. With regard to range you can do a simple mod to add your own 2.4G radio gear but then you loose the FPV side of the flight. I think the AR can lift a gopro hero 2 so it will fulfill many peoples needs but I looked into it for myself and the mods I would need to do to it after the purchase price of about £270~ makes it not viable at all. Scratch build is great aswell because parts are generic so a little bit cheaper. All said I would love to have a play on one. WLtoys v929 is AMAZING! its £40 for everything needed to get in the air (indoor or out) and it has great performance/3d Acro, you could do FPV via a small 720p@30fps wing/fly cam or even a micro 5.8Ghz TX and micro 420 cam, check them out on youtube. @Glenj Great video, that hele is doing some amazing stunts, are you the pilot? Ive seen some smart guys have been using the tail booms from hele's to make varible pitch rotors for quadcopters and powering them with nitro IC, they are then able to do continued inverted flight like your hele.

@mossj88 the time varies from weight and flying style. I can get anything from 6-12minutes use, but I would say my normal time for my flying style is about 8minutes. You can hook up bigger batts or even link them for 2X capacity but then you are also adding weight. @pete Great find on that site, I had not seen it before, @plexer straight away with the wow factor.....Raspberry Pi running Linux or Andriod Quadrotor.....Sweet!

P.s as with anything, if you buy a kit copter it will probably cost you more than just doing your own research and buying the bits seperatly. Mine has cost about £280~ in the air

Ebay - Everything Pyramid models - Uk suppier of parts Chinavasion - cool cheap gadjects etc but you have to pay import tax RCGoups.com - Best resource for your multicopter troubles I have found goodluckbuy.com - not to purchase anything but just to find parts FPVCentral.com - alot of guys in the know here google - Its your friend the frame I started with is a X525 which is nice and cheap but built to last.

Good man pcstru, these things are so much fun, I started with the KK5.5 board but then moved to the Rabbit flight Controller by Love Flight (developers might have recently stoppped development of this board now), the RFC made the learning curve alot shollower and gives me the option to create a full UAV (flight paths/waypoints - auto takeoff/land - RTH) for about another £30. I built the quad on a very tight budget. Im not doing full FPV yet as Im still saving for the googles but I suggest 2.4Ghz radio gear and use a 5.8Ghz video system with a cloverleaf style antenna on the TX, also make sure your googles are at least VGA, any smaller resolution and its just not as......."Wow I'm flying though the clouds" Cameras are a minefield, alot of people use the GoPro's 1/2 but as I said I am on a budget so I opted for the Crocolis HD Cam (also called Extreme HD Cam) which is about £100 cheaper and it can be used for recording and full FPV at the same time. My quad as a whole can not be brought in a kit but all the parts are on the internet or at home as you can tell by my tupperware pot, alot came from china direct. @JJonas, no I have not tried a flight sim but its a good idea/cheaper if starting from scratch with flying. New video, bit shakey but now 1080p

Cheers Pete, Great flying of the Belt CP, my house mate had one and when that puppy winds up it sounds intimidating. I tried Heles for awhile but just didn't find then as fun/easy or smooth as a quad. Wicked flight of your foamie, have you ever got an onboard vids of your flights with that because that would look excellent (some people might get motion sickness from it tho). Ive had a HPI Savage X 4.1 for about 6 years now and its so much fun and its taken such a beating but still keeps on bashing

Hi all, Just wanted to share some of my video's of my latest hobby. I have started as a novice to RC quadcopters and also filming/editing and have done it all on a tight budget thanks to the wealth of knowledge on the internet. Here are a few of the first video's I have made: these are avalible in 720p but not via these embeded windows I was wondering if anyone on here does anything similar? Please if you like the vids give me a thumbs up or subcribe

I have moved from RM CC3 server with XP workstations to Server 2008 RC2 with Win7 on workstations without a hitch. managed to export all pupil names and data and import into new install on the server. I was amased that it was trouble free (apart from the server side install needs to restart server). I remember having huge troubles with RM maths over the years but that was with things like the screen calibration section of the workstation install. I have also installed the workstation side on 30 netbooks running Win7Pro which threw up errors about the screen resolution but I added a script to the RM link which changes the resolution on the netbooks before it runs the RM maths exe, it then changes back afterwards. @sfraser222 Good to see RM still supporting this software, all schools I go to use this but I am amased there has not been an update in about 9years or so. Does RM do any newer software that plots learning levels of pupils (not sure thats the right term but I'm sure you know what I mean).

Thanks Nick, Yes as that is part of the instructions I have done this and checked it at least twice when I have re-done every step thinking it was just a silly error made by me (still not discounting that option, lol). Right I have taken up enough of your time Nick, I will call it quits on this attempt and re-install when I get a version of Server 2008, hopefully by then your version 7 might be out which could make things easier. Thank you very much for all your help and time

I am trying to sent up hosting a remote access for teachers to work from home. I am using Home Access Plus but I am having troubles setting up connections to 'my documents' etc I have been told... "have you added the wildcard '*' asp.net mapping?" Where and how do I do this?, to I right click on my website in IIS manager, click properties, then under 'Application name:' do I click 'Configuration..'? I have tried adding an extension of .* but it says.... 'Wrong extension format' does anyone know what I need to do? Hi Nick, I dont see that bit in the instructions (if it is in the instructions then yes I have), otherwise where do I add the wildcard to asp.net mapping? is that right click on 'extranet' in IIS manager? EDIT... Only information I can find for IIS6 is adding this to the web.config file under the heading of but if I do this then the whole site does not work got from this source... http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=909641

ok I'm clutching at straws now... bit more info.... I am not using https.......no idea how to implement this on the site and cant find simple instructions, but I have not attempted this yet so it might be easy. going to http://localhost/extranet/default.aspx on the ASVR IIS server and logging on at tavistock-pri\administrator, I get details in the 'Me' section and it shows I have used 20.16% quota (no idea where it gets that number from) BUT...... when I access the page http://10.130.37.2/extranet from a workstation on the domain the 'Me' section is blank On both the ASVR and workstation I can get to http://localhost/extranet/mycomputer.aspx but then I get the http error 404 file or directory can not be found. the users I am using all have a UNC path to their 'home' directory setup in AD. I have completley removed .net 4 and re-installed but still no affect If no one has any more ideas I might try and install this on a fresh install of server2008 with IIS 7 but after that then I will have to throw the towel in on this project

Mine did that once but that was because I did not use my domain pre-fix before the username i.e. tavistock-pri\administrator, I dont have to do this for usernames that are not local users on the IIS server i.e. jbloggs

That artical does look interesting but the 'runallmanagedmodulesforallrequests="true" is already set to true. In the web.config it says 'It is not necessary for previous version of IIS', I am using IIS V6 on SBS SP2. Still no further I hope you can help Here is my web.config file again just incase you have not looked at it yet web.config.txt

I have just checked and re-installed dotNetFx40_Full_x86_x64.exe on ASVR, but still not allowing drive access. I have gone back though the instructions and checked all is as it should be (as far as I know) but still nothing. I feel if I have done this the same as the instrutions then otherpeople might of had the same trouble as me but they had more experience and cured the trouble without even thinking about it. its just not obvious to me yet, lol I will keep staring at the web.config file till I find something (hopefully). Anyone had a chance to look at my web.config file yet? P.S if I look in add/remove programs of ASVR it lists... Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 SP2 - 186.00MB Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SP2 - 222.00MB Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 - 28.05MB Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile - 182.00MB Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended - 46.04MB is this right? is this correct

I have since reinstalled .net 4, but I am still getting no where with this. Could someone please have a look at my web.config file and see if I have done anything wrong? any suggestions would be great Why would there be a -1% quota mark showing when I log on as a teacher but then nothing if I log on as an admin?

I get the same message as if I were using the workstation to access extranet, I get an 'HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found. Internet Information Services (IIS)' Does my web.config file look ok?

I have also tried to access extranet from the fileserver (DC) and it gives the same resault like I did when I tried it on the IIS server, an COMException, but if I use a workstation then it allows me to logon, bringing me to the front page but still no access to drives... any idea's would be great to hear?

wow thanks for your fast reply Nick. 1st, thanks for your time and help 2nd, I have not messed with https yet as its hard enough just trying what im doing at the moment, not sure about ssl etc 3rd, I am using 6.5 and all the files are in the main 'Extranet', Gobal.asax is definutly there 4th, If I try going to http://10.130.37.2/extranet using IE on ASVR (hosting extranet), then I get the logon prompt but then goes to a COMException error but if I use another PC with the same username and password as used on ASVR it takes me to the front page of HAP 5th, on ASVR the extranet folder is....C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\extranet thanks for your time

Background: Server 2003 R2 Domain controler: fileserver.tavistock-pri.devon.sch.uk (10.130.37.1) HAP IIS server: ASVR.tavistock-pri.devon.sch.uk (10.130.37.2) In AD=tavistock-pri.devon.sch.uk OU students=pupils OU Staff=Staff Well, I have had another go to get HAP+ working, with no luck...... I can go to the first page and login, but then after that its not going well..... When I click on 'Browse my computer', I am taken to a page with all the links to different drives but if I click on 'Admin Documents' (http://10.130.37.2/extranet/MyComputer/H) I get the error .... 'HTTP Error 404 - File or directory not found. Internet Information Services (IIS)' I can access the folder from both the IIS server and the PC I am using but not via HAP, I am thinking its got to be something to do with my edit of the web.config lines.... This folder has permissions set to Everyone-full access I have attached my web.config file with the passwords changed to XXXXX I hope someone can spot where I am going wrong, and let me know if you need more information web.config.TXT

We no longer use the printers here anymore, too much trouble with quality of prints. I have done a deep clean, replaced toner and the imaging unit (at almost cost of a printer for both) and still no better. Good bye 6110, you did me well for awhile. We have now moved to a managed service where B&W prints are 1p~ and colour is 5p~, alot easier to manage costs.
