  1. Voted! As the tesco slogan says... 'Every Little Helps'
  2. May be worth checking the following lines in the UNC section: where it states enablereadto and enablewriteto these need to be set to existing groups or in this case All - which will allow access to these particular shares
  3. This usually tends to be an issue with your impersonation level and the groups that have access to the HAP system you may need to find this: and change 'CHS Easylink' to 'Domain users' or something similar AFAIK shares on multiple servers should just be a case of putting in the direct UNC path - although I am not sure about what happens when DFS is used
  4. IMO Passwords are only as strong as the person using them and their ability to remember them and not tell others. Forcing people to have strong passwords can be more harm than good as most in my experience will not be able to remember them and will write them down. The logon tracker will only work internally unfortunately it is better to use the IIS logs for this purpose. We are a vanilla 2003 network and although not currently using HAP+ fully will be looking to move to it in the near future. Mark
  5. Home access plus is a hosted website so it is as secure as an ssl connection... (we have 4 internally hosted websites that are published using our ISA with ssl - they are as secure as the usernames and passwords that are used to access the site) For file hosting in terms of home access plus is also just as secure as your ntfs security
  6. no worries... was just about to make sure you weren't putting CN=ldap-User,OU=Service Accounts,OU=myschoolname,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain,DC=domain as this definately would not work lol glad i could help anyway
  7. ah ok a bind result is usually a username or password error. have you put in the DN of your username and not just domain\username?
  8. Do you get the error in noodle when trying to log in? Can you login using any of you ad accounts?
  9. LDAP is a query of your domain controller... The servername in an Active Directory case will be the IP address of your domain controller. You also need to make sure that the php_ldap extension is enabled in your php.ini file then restart iis The attached document is the full version of the earlier one which is the complete documentation as to how we set up our moodle. (note we use 2003, IIS 6 and MSSQL but the php settings etc should be the same) Binder1.pdf
  10. You may also which to check this tread too http://www.edugeek.net/forums/virtual-learning-platforms/58693-moodle-ldap.html
  11. OK did this doc some time ago and not sure if it relates to 2008 but give it a go it is basically a list of how all the settings should look HTH LDAP S...pdf
  12. AKAIK there is no fixed installer for HAP due to the numerous config changes that have to made to make it work. The ZIP files will contain all the files you need to get started Mark
  13. Installation instructions are here Home Access Plus+, as we are a vanilla 2003 network I would not know the answers to your RM specific question but the videos etc on that site may help Mark
  14. A bind result is usually a username/ password issue Sorry I cant be of anymore help but i would check user expiration and check there have been no password changes etc
  15. so did mine... Android 1 - 1 Apple
  16. Have you tried Malware-bytes?
  17. It's a shame the downloading of files from the browsers is not standard. IE is a pain with caching turned on and now safari is being a pain with them too...
  18. one that i came across was more to do with the server tbh... that error message is the server returning a HTTP 303 error (apparently) there may be an answer here but not sure whether it is the right one! HTTP Error 303 See other Explained HTH
  19. are you getting a particular error message when downloading files?
  20. Daily vote done!
  21. I've voted again, but as speckytechy said, it looks like they are going to need a lot more votes to win... but will keep trying to see if makes any difference
