The quickest way to update current users is to use something like Powershell to update the proxyAddress attribute using capital SMTP for the default email address and lowercase smtp for the alias. For new users, if you want them to have the new domain as their default, the easiest way to do this is to add it as an additional UPN to your domain and then choose this for your new users.

As part of our admission process, we want to start to take into account the distance from our school. This must be 'as the crow flies' and should be as accurate as possible. I've found several sites on the Internet where you can put in postcodes and it will calculate the distance between. However, we can have as many as 400 applications to process so some automated way of doing this would be ideal. Apparently, our LEA (Cumbria) has a Data Map service that can do this for us. However, we also take admissions from Lancashire and North Yorkshire so we need some way of calculating those ourselves. Does anybody do this already and, if so, have any advice? Many thanks.

Possibly - I know that agendas and minutes are uploaded to the County Council website. However, it's only going to be for a few documents a year so the Google Drive option seems nice and simple.

Many thanks. I don't really want to go to the expense and hassle of setting up G-Suite - I thought I'd just get them to set up a Gmail account and use the Google drive that comes with that. The clerk can then administer that and drop files into a publicly shared folder for parishioners to access. There is a village blog that we can post the link to the shared folder on.

My first thought was something like Google drive but then I realised that they will want to publish a folder full of stuff, possibly with sub-folders, so that people can browse historical documents. We use NetSupport School in our IT suites and teaching staff seem to like it. We don't use it for IT Support, so I can't really add anything else. We also use NetSupport DNA for safeguarding and I do use that quite a bit. It's simple enough for Pastoral staff to use and has taken a workload off IT support. Happy to help with a reference is required.
