Guest M0MST Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 Looking at ISP's at the moment to move away from the very expensive county solution which does not have the capacity for our growing network. I am looking for a provider who can provide the package as a whole, I do not have the time to manage firewalls and filtering on my own. I have a meeting very soon with exa networks but wondering if there are any other suggestions for suppliers. Roughly looking for up to 50Mb down and 20Mb up so a combination of the above would be excellent, with filtering, firewall, installation and ongoing support. I was looking at getting an FTTC connection and managing it myself, however time constraints as well as high contention ratios have put me off Any contacts would be great.
Deanuk Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 We was with exa networks, although they we're a bit pricey they were pretty decent to be fair. The only downside we found is the email filter it's a bit of a pain. We are BT now and have a 100mb up down solution, we pay £13,000 a year all though we have SIP trunks built in to this all so.
Soulfish Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 We're with M247. Gig on gig bearer with EFM backup connection. They provide and manage the router, we do everything else (filtering + firewall), but everything just works for us . I know they do offer fully managed options so I'd say give them a call.
john Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 The good people at LUNS are also worth talking to

MYK-IT Posted January 28, 2013 Posted January 28, 2013 The good people at LUNS are also worth talking to Yes, we moved from LEA to LUNs last year. Very pleased although you may have to deal with TNP Ltd. The Networking People - We are The Networking People now as LUNS Services / Coverage were changed last year.
Guest M0MST Posted January 29, 2013 Posted January 29, 2013 Hi All Thanks for all of the replies Have got 3 companies that I am in contact with, M247 have even given me a quote already. Looking at our options and costs I am looking at FTTC, and most probably a bonded FTTC connection, which should give a theoretical maximum of 120down and 40 up. Any other suggestions or tips greatly received.
