Looking for a new laptop for a teacher and in the past always purchased HP, but is £500inc vat and looking for something light weight with a min of 13" screen.

 

Was wondering what you use?

ive gone off tosh recently the c660 is a nasty laptop the amount of issues with batteries was silly had 10 of 20 or so refuse to charge the batteries till removed reinserted several times one the screen went green.

 

im wondering if its time to give acer another try hp seem to be very hit and mis 610 ok 630 nasty 630 ok. Lenovos again hit and miss have some in the school im in and while its a decent machine all the staff hate them as the trackpad is a pita

Samsung and Fujitsu are the low cost choices here...

We've seen a lot of personal Tosh laptops that have failed under warranty and just out of warranty, the build quality has been really suspect.

 

Personally I wouldn't entertain anything except Pro-Books from HP

 

I wouldn't trust anything from acer in an enterprise environment. I own an Acer Aspire laptop and a Veriton vesa mount PC, and whilst they are fine for my use, they wouldn't last 5 minutes in a school.
