Well, for those of you who didn't know, we have moved into a bigger office. One of the reasons for the move is that, due to space restrictions, we simply couldn't organise and run any kind of merchandise operation, but that has all changed now.

What we now need to know however is what it is you would like to buy from us? Quite a few of you have had lots of freebies over the years, from t-shirts, lanyards, mugs, caps etc. so you know the quality and variety of things we can offer, but what would you like to be able to buy from an EduGeek store?

So please fill out the poll (you can have multiple choices) and we can get cracking :)

Nylon or silk? (serious question)

 

I prefer silk, but [if I remember correctly] it pushes the cost up but quite a bit.

 

 

Mouse mats would be a good one :)

Long sleeved polo would be good for me too.

 

Mouse mat - might be useful too actually. I have a couple of machines on shiny desks and the optical mice hate them!

 

Thermal mugs make tea taste funny. Proper mugs all the way. Preferably some with PEBCAK or Layer 8 Issue printed on them :)

Thermal mugs aren't great for taste, but in our school we're not allowed outside the staff room with a hot drink unless we have a mug with a lid.

Should we not have the glasses themed, there simply must be one for the EduJD possible shotglass and/or Edubeer which is somewhat mythic. You could also do a novelty addition to your gift packs of 'Eduhobnobs' or whatever they are, the standard pack with an EG sticker on it shearly for the novelty of it. :)

 

I'm probably going to be the only one but an EG hoodie (hooded black sweatshirt) could be good however I know there may be some cultural issues with those. Embroided long sleeve tshirt and definatly lanyards, I hardly ever use them but I still want one.

 

As for joke shirts, a black one with large white print stating:

NETWORK

SECURITY

could be fun.

All good ideas. Keep 'em coming. @SYNACK I do like the idea of shot glasses, but due to minimum order requirements we may just do them as an 'EduGeek Special'. Every quarter we could do one-off special items perhaps? :)

What about glasses i.e. pint type ones. I often sit there with a glass of juice or water?

 

Hmm. Do-able, but packaging would have to be looked at.

Squishy stress PCs? for when you just wanna punch your network in it's stupid face...

 

What about useful little bits and bobs too - one of our HP racks came with a cage nut removal tool. I'd buy 50 of them to stop me trashing my fingers everytime I had to touch a rack < /giggidy >

Hmm. What about a techies tool kit with bits that you usually don't get in other kits such as you suggested Mike? Obviously it wouldn't be branded, but we could pack them in a mug :)
