ButterflyMoon Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 The people who transported me for my treatment 'Daft as a Brush' do marvelous work for cancer patients. They made a difficult and at times frightening experience much more bearable for me. They are in the running for a People's Postcode Trust Award. The more votes they have the better chance they have to receive much needed help. They deliver a free service for all Cancer patients in Tyne and Wear and as far as Berwick and down to Durham. Here is the link for the voting and as you will see there are 5 other worthy causes also looking for votes. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this and for all the help and support given to me during these last few months The Vote That Counts
hardtailstar Posted November 12, 2012 Posted November 12, 2012 Done, I think, It seemed to go through but didnt display The scores. Ill check later at home to make sure my vote is counted 1
elsiegee40 Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 for another worthy cause. Other members of my family have voted too 1
ButterflyMoon Posted November 13, 2012 Author Posted November 13, 2012 Thank you all so much I am doing fine now. Treatment finished a couple of weeks ago and I managed to work right up till halfway through then it got too much and I needed time off. I know how lucky I am they caught it fast and it was low grade so the prognosis is really good. These people (Daft as a Brush) took me back and forth for treatments and it made my life so much easier. It took the stress out of trying to get there and home. It costs them 10 Thousand a year to run the service so even getting third place in the vote would pay for 6 months service. Thank you so much for your help in this
elsiegee40 Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) Come on you lot. Daft as a Brush are in fourth place. They only need to be in third place to get £5000 which would keep them going for 6 months. It doesn't even cost you anything, except your time and as many email addresses as you have Here's the link so you don't have to waste time scrolling back to find it: Vote for "Daft as a Brush" here | The Vote That Counts The charity's own website: Daft as a brush Cancer Patient Care charity - Part of the journey to recovery Edited November 15, 2012 by elsiegee40 1
pcstru Posted November 15, 2012 Posted November 15, 2012 (edited) It doesn't even cost you anything, except your time and as many email addresses as you have Might take a while but so be it! And appeal to my betters. What you really need though, is a picture of a pretty girl or fluffy cat, and post on reddit. Both - would do it! (anyone good at photoshop?).
