Because there is no apostrophe in "its" when using it in the possessive form (his, hers, its). It should have one, but it doesn't because the apostrophe is reserved for the shortening of "it is"

Pedantic?

Me?

NEVER!! :)

I'm imagining you pulling a face like this:

"Bad grammar... Bad grammar everywhere... must... edit..."

I know, I know. I do try very hard to ignore it but it is soooooooo hard.

Besides, I'm not a brilliant techie so I have to be good at something - CVs and grammar (with a side serving of spelling) - that's what I do.

Yes, I did see that one - it is obviously a typo but why on earth it wasn't picked up before they printed it out several feet tall is beyond me

Did you see this beauty when you were at BETT?

That's the legitist of legit spelling.

Dosen't = dose not.

It's their anti-drugs campaign.

I think they did it on purpose to see how many people commented on it.

I'm surpriased Witch hasn't mentioned our stand yet :p

I clearly meant to spell surprised that way... :p

As if I would - anyway, it wasn't me that mentioned a stand at all. Quite frankly, there were too many typos to mention which made me very sad

I'm sure a strongly worded, and grammatically correct, letter is in order.

surpriased

Supriased: The art of being both surprised and biased.

I love it! I shall now spend today trying to fit it into as many conversations as possible!

Wait... have I just invented a word?

But I have to limit my pedantry otherwise it would take over my life - and it is the one that MOST ANNOYS me :)

You may have just invented the worlds coolest, most useless word! :)

Sounds about right.

Das EDIT: Thinking about it, it sounds a bit sarcastic.

Like if [company] came to look at the DIY touch table and were impressed [surprise] with it, but insisted that their version is still better [bias].

Or testing an iDevice, commenting on excellent build quality and responsiveness but then bemoaning lack of flash support and concluding the MS Surface is better...

haha! Good work! I find that a bit of constructive sarcasm here and there helps get things moving.

Your word is no longer useless! *nods*
