HallX Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Hi, My name is Lorraine and ict technician within a school. i am Shropshire based. Hello A beautiful part of the world, I lived there for 6 years, now back in Yorkshire. Welcome.
sirat Posted May 17, 2013 Posted May 17, 2013 (edited) I'll just say hello. I joined a few minutes ago. I'm very intimidated by the degree of geekiness of all you people. I'm just a one-time science teacher, one-time radio amateur who messes around with computers and bits of wire and soldering irons and things, generally making everything I touch worse. I also write stories and novels (some science fiction but mostly mainstream 'literary') under my real name David Gardiner. Greatest technical accomplishment was installing Windows XP on an Eee PC that came with Linux pre-loaded and getting everything to work again by downloading all kinds of weird drivers and what-not. Took me ages but it works nicely now. That's about it. Please be gentle. Edited May 17, 2013 by sirat
eduitsup Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Hi everyone, My name is Ciaran and have been supporting education for nearly 10 years. I've been coming and going on here for a few years but never signed up, even though I found it to be very useful either for myself or to get others to explore. I run my own London based IT support company and am expanding. That's it I guess, I look forward to many a chats
witch Posted May 20, 2013 Posted May 20, 2013 Hi @sirat and @eduitsup Welcome! Please don't be intimidated - some of us don't know that much, honest! There are all sorts on here from the very geekiest to the dabbler - but the main thing is, if you have a problem, someone will be able to help you 1
ColleenYoung Posted June 6, 2013 Posted June 6, 2013 (edited) Hi I'm Colleen - a Maths teacher, very interested in how technology can help students. Worked in IT Training long time ago. Amused to see I am an unknown quantity at this point! Edited June 6, 2013 by ColleenYoung

VeryPC_Colin_M Posted June 18, 2013 Posted June 18, 2013 Hi Everybody, Colin McCarthy from @VeryPC here! After years of being banned in the wilderness Al The Marketing Guy finally managed to get the higher ups of @VeryPC to see sense and get me on EduGeek as a fully sponsorised member!View Profile: VeryPC_Colin_M - EduGeek.net I work in a client focused role and love building bespoke systems for customers at brilliant prices. I enjoy cool cars, tweeting, sustainable technologies, my dogs, my lovely lady (not in that order), and am a bit of a telly addict. My current favourite shows on the telly are Fast and Loud, Gold Rush, The Apprentice, Walking Dead, Banshee, Hannibal, American Restoration, Toy Hunter, Pawn Stars, and Counts Kustoms. I have a phobia of tomato ketchup, everyone here knows it, and they've taken it upon themselves to help me overcome it.. Here are 3 facts about me, 1 is false; I am actually an NFL Linebacker I've kissed Christina Aguilera on the lips George Clooney has pinched by bum on purpose I look forward to helping the EduGeek community and meeting both old and new friends. Cheers, Col
