Not really a new member but I spend much of my time on here reading all your posts so never say much myself.

 

I've been a Tech for about a year and a half now, the school where I did my GCSEs offered me a job as soon as I finished (aged 16) so it all started from there...

Hi everyone,

I'm Rob, an ICT Technician in a Tamworth primary school, Staffordshire. I manage our Win2k server and 50 workstations(dekstops/laptops). Projects that I am working on are server consolidation(virtualisation), network redundancy and resiliance, a laptop trolley, re-design and implementation of our website, sysprep, AD, Linux (desktop and server) and yes all this in a primary school... What happened to that BBC Micro and Basic?

 

Like a few members I've been browsing the forums for their expert advice for a while but not actually contributed. Not sure why... All of the help gleaned has been fantastic and my thanks goes out to the people who started edugeek.net and the contributions from fellow members since its creation.

 

Just hope I'm able to give back a little for the positive, thou anon, contributions that have helped me with my job.
