Great to be here. I've been working with school ICT Tech & Network Managers for the last 8 years, working as the Prowise Partner Manager. Personally I'm based in Clitheroe in Lancashire but cover the whole North of England and North Midlands. I'm sure I'll have met with a few of you over the years, so if you've welcomed me into your school it would be great to say hi.

 

I'll go easy on the sales talk as I'm sure that's not what you need, but if you have any questions I can help with about Prowise products or are looking for info on touchscreen solutions, I'll be more than happy to help.

 

Thanks for adding me to such a great forum, I'm sure some of the topics will be a real eye opener about what's going on in School IT support right now.

Studying and enjoying bot nomenclature and classification is about as geeky as you can get, and was good intro to db management. Warren "Z" Weber here DBA Z-Ware. I'm a 50 year veteran of IT and have done pretty much every job in that industry: Computer Technician, Computer Operator, Programmer/Analyst, Systems Programmer, Consultant, etc. I worked for a wholesale grocer, a health care company and a bank before going strictly consultant. I've worked as a consultant for several consulting firms and software companies, including as a Senior Principal Consultant at Oracle (BTW a great company to work for since they recognize talent and reward it accordingly.) I'm partial to C++ language-wise, but I also know Basic and Pascal syntax (Oracle's PL/SQL embedded language is Pascal syntax.)

 

I'll try to check back often to see if anyone has questions for me, and I'll do my best to answer them.

 

P.S. The "Howdy" is because I'm a native Montanan.
