Edu-IT Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 Do you have any larger colleges in the area that may be able to offer their services, or assistance in helping you lay the cables? Or is there a reason why you can't do it yourself? (Rules.. H&S etc..)

I think I want a change of career! 10 sockets a week and I'll be about sorted. 1

I've seen some of the places I sent my cable guy at the school - i would rather stay at home then have the £100 for that!

It's a pun! In that case, £100 is quite reasonable - £20 p/h. I was thinking £100 for a half hour job. ;-)
old_n07 Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 The costs often reflect the standard of the job you want doing, if you are happy with sticky trunking everywhere then you will get it done cheaper compared to the company that fishes cables down inside the walls where possible to avoid the trunking, it is all about the time taken to do the job.
jonatkinson Posted June 27, 2012 Posted June 27, 2012 Im paying around £70 - £100 depending on the length and difficulty of the run. They also do it outside of school hours (starting at 6am) so they can be done and dusted and not get in anyones way. 1
