Hi,

Could anyone advise me on the best way to have your wallpaper automatically resize depending on size of screen? I’m building a base image for our student labs, but I don’t want the user to be able to change the wallpaper. I’ve used GBinfo with WinXP in the past, but I’m sure it was adding to the login times, which I’d rather avoid.

Thanks for your help,

Rob

Hi,

If you wouldn't mind sharing that would be cool. I could give that a try :)

Thanks,

yep i will dig it out. It works better because you dont need to stretch the wallpaper.

I've found BGinfo doesn't add any time to logons (noticeably anyway) trialling it with and without running when I was building my 7 policies. It can do different sizes and resolutions without stretching any images, as it inserts the image in the centre of the background colour.

Would love a copy of that script, would save me butchering the registry. :D

Tried changing the Local Group Policy to streach and seems to work ok, as it's a fairly basic wallpaper. However, I wouldn't mind trying the scripts as well to see which works best :)
