given up with this, everywhere can stay on the old version , I have so given up, its installed on our deployment image.

It will of coure in time be update for a when when I create a new image and the computers are reimaged.

I don't like deploying stuff because some stuff just don't want to install on certain computers or it keeps trying to install certain software on each powerup or it won't uninstall for example java (that caused massive problems!)

I only updates ours when

1. New image is made

2. When software requires a later version - New image is done every summer so normally we are ok with it.

EDIT: - its rolled out via gpo but only on the above occasions or there is a Major security flaw with a version and Java tends to be updated more then flash.

I update ours as soon as it comes out, it takes all of 30 seconds to update the deployment script. As annoying as it is, I view it with the same importance as a windows update.

The amount of personal laptops I've seen that have been compromised due to out of date Java and/or flash players is insane so I'd rather save myself the hassle...

^ This! It doesn't make any sense to include Flash Player and Java etc. in images. Not only will they be out-of-date almost immediately, but if you need to update one of the plug-ins, you waste loads of time re-creating or updating the image.
