Hmm not sure as post reads as a company but then the CV is makes it looks like Stephen is looking for a job.

If it is just looking for a job fine no problem but can you edit the post to make that clear that you are not a company.

Regards

But then if you were advertsing would you mention you were working for XMA? I would keep that a secret myself with the reputation of their technicians!

No you're not the only one... IMHO there shouldn't be any advertisments on the site either....

....I'll get my coat...

No problem Netman please provide your bank details so we can take the running costs from it we would even talk about taking costs direct from your wage slip :)

Sorry to say you want the site ad's is the only way can pay for it..

As many people will tell you donations will raise some but no way near enough to cover running costs.

To be fair our ad's are not that intrusive and our advertisers have been very good when posting...

As for companies coming on nature of beast and we kick when they do :)

XMA is a company based around Nottingham that deals with all aspects of hardware, pretty good prices.

stephenwelch: CV starts off pretty good but goes on too long need to condense to no more than two pages. People only want to know about your last two positions and i would bullet point more no need to go into too fine a detail this will come out in the interview. Apart from that wish you well and every success in the future.

P.S don't take this the wrong way as it is meant as constructive criticism and i do admire your tenacity.

There is a rumour going around that XMA stands for Kiss (x) My A**e

You will usually find them at BETT - often on a combined stand with Toshiba.

Hello forum and people.

The answer is.........

I dont know.

I would consider some contract work but I am also considering setting up on my own. I put a post on here with a view to see if any schools contacted me re my services. So it basically an opportunistic post!

Sorry If have broken the rules forum masters.

I dont think all of this is enough reason to go slagging off XMA you twXXT. I have personal reasons for doing this and I would like to think people respect that. What I do with my life is my business and if XMA know then do think I care.

Thank you for the other constructive comments.

Well I am sorry Mr Forum precious. I have posted on many forums before now but never has anyone questioned my ability to do my job as mr limbo was basically refering to. I have the right to reply.

Unfortunately I do not need much of a reason to "slag off" XMA - and actually what I was trying to do was divert the attention of the forum away from having a go at you as an individual, which I happen to think was not particularly fair, hence my not doing so.

At no point did I question your abilities as an individual, in fact I made no comments about you as an individual at all until this post.

I am based in Birmingham and have an input in the running of several schools locally and would be happy to talk to you about the services you can offer and any opportunities there may be for you - If you want to do this then please PM me.

I would not question your ability stephenwelch as I do not know you, but are you not trying to sell sand to the Arabs here?

God bring back ICTTechnician.com!

Bye for now

Given half a chance there are people that would have done ... but don't give up on EduGeek yet.

You posted a bit of a strange post and people have responded to it a certain way.

We have a few issues with consultants and suppliers looking for free advertising at the moment so you have been caught up in a bit of that ...

Now take a step back, breath, and we can all start again.

I would suggest you pop over to the 'introduce yourself' thread in General Chat and take it from there.
