Although engine size is important for power while towing you also need to be aware that its the cars brakes that have to stop the load (though some trailers have brakes), I use to tow a horse box carrying two horses, heavier than a caravan and would not of used a car for this purpose. The manual for the vehicle should specify a towing limit and a maximum gross traim weight. For the later you'll need to factor all weight added to and including the vehicle when working out your load, passengers whats in the boot etc. Exceeding this load reduces the vehicles handling and can cause damage to the drive shafts/gearbox and brakes. Yes Tony as usual you make alot of sense. The worrying side of all this is that if schools are given an overwelming choice of resources this will only go a long way to complicating what should be a simple process. I'm of the opinion that to teach programming in schools we should probably state that the language taught should be a cross platform and object orientated. Whether that means the compiled code has to be usable on muliple platforms or recompiled/modified to run on another. A language like Java would be cheap to use in schools as the JDK is free and can be installed on the workstations if not already. The coding could be typed into a simple text editor like notepad, textedit or kate. The skills used in using most OO languages are transferable to other OO languages. The only drawback with the simple text editor route is that you would have to give your pupils access to the Command line to compile it. I think this would be still easier than using an IDE package like Eclipse.

Correct me if I'm wrong but can't coding be taught in schools without making any expenditure on new hardware and software. Isn't there a danger of money being wasted, as it often has in the past with expensive resources and hardware. I see that any investment in the change in curriculum would be better spent on training the teachers to deliver it.

You cannot use the .com bit of your address as this is a root domain, your request to resolve this address will be forwarded through your gateway for resolution on the Internets .com DNS root servers, it will be unknown as it is not a registered domain. Look at soveryapts posts and take note of his root in the address, .local this is probably what you should use if anything therefore "myschool.intranet.local" or "myschool.intranet". Change this and edit your DNS entry and it will work.

Yes this is right, your re-inventing the wheel here you can do this by editing the system.adm file, there are two keys in here NoViewDrive and NoDrive you just need to edit the Hex number that represents the drives you can or can't see. Then Insert your labels for the key in the bottom section of the adm file.
