Netman Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Done that -sounds like a pathetic excuse for saving money to me... 1
SimpleSi Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 em - am I missing something????? Does this look like a credible petition that anyone would pay attention to? Why have you all (said anyway) that you've signed it? Do you know the word gullible has been removed from the Oxford dictionary? Si
speckytecky Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Done - crazy what they are trying to do. 1
LosOjos Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 em - am I missing something????? Yes - compassion. Signed. 4
SimpleSi Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 @LosJos Its because I don't believe the premise of the petition I work in lots of schools where there isn't enough room for everyone to bring a car - so they don't. Some people park a distance away and walk, others walk from home or get a bus, others try to get a space and then drive away again and walk back. No-one loses their jobs over this - it just inconviences them. Now I realise that this one has some wierd circumstances (if even the petition is true) but I'd have thought the same general situation applies. Si
Jamman960 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Very odd, why would/do the local council have any say over an independent schools staffing? cutting teachers would force them to cut down on pupils/fee income have signed anyway but I really wouldn't expect the council to have any power over a private company like that. James
Jamman960 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Decision delayed on whether St John's School must axe 25 staff - Communities - Northwood & Northwood Hills - makes more sence of the petition. Hope the school get it sorted out, they're lucky to be doing so well in the current climate. 1
IanT Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Done! - have the council really got nothing better to do! 1
Guest Guest Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 (edited) Decision delayed on whether St John's School must axe 25 staff - Communities - Northwood & Northwood Hills - makes more sence of the petition. If the article is correct then it's the same sort of thing as what the gypsies at Dale farm got evicted for. You can't apply for planning permission and then do as you please, especially on green belt lane. Edited December 8, 2011 by Guest
mattx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Thanks to everyone who has signed so far - almost up to 2000 which is great.
