(I don't have a PS3/Xbox) Its never coming out for PC - Rockstar had a helluva time producing it for the platforms they produced it for (it took 6 years, and that included having to take people from all over the place to actually get it finished). Insiders said it was a complete nightmare.

Current estimates reckon April or July 2014 for the PC version. In terms of when we might actually be able to play it, the gap between console and PC release has been consistent(ly frustrating) at around 212 days, without the kind of crazy deviation we see in the release date announcement window. 212 days after the currently listed ship date for GTA 5 on the consoles would be April 17, 2014. If the gap is as long as it was for San Andreas, we would have it by April 30 instead. On the off chance that Rockstar makes us wait as long for a PC announcement as they did on GTA 4, and as long between PC announcement and PC release as they did on San Andreas, we’ve been shoved back to July 4, 2014. Not to say that they couldn’t try to annoy us further by breaking their own records, but that’s our official prediction for the most distant date to reasonably expect the game on PC. (Source)
localzuk Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 They posted a comment on their site in July 2009 saying they had no plans to release on PC - to correct the original announcement that out was being released on PS3, xbox 360 and PC. Wikipedia has a copy of the post but the link back doesn't seem to go to the right place any more. You've gotta ask though, why would they put all that effort into porting what is now a 3 year old game?

They've (Ubisoft, in this case) just ported Flashback to PS3/360 (others?) and that was released in what 1990/1991? Seriously Red Dead may have been one of the best games I have ever played (if not the best). I'm surprised PC owners never got a chance at it. Perhaps it just serves as a good example that consoles are better Back on topic, and I actually find myself looking forward to GTA V. I tried GTA IV and really didn't like it but the trailers and Red Dead have both convinced me to give GTA V a go. Just hoping it gets a next gen release with better graphics rather than being current gen only, which is what it currently looks like - I'd probably buy it either way though.
localzuk Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Agree about the graphics. The trailers all struck me as being very similar quality to GTA IV. It'd be a shame if they didn't spruce it up somehow. Personally, I'm looking forward to the release of "Watch Dogs" too...

I think I'm about 2/3 through now and it just keeps getting better. Deserves all the awards and accolades it's been getting. Besides, you can replay on a harder difficulty? no? Neither will I! When I read this in iSpy I thought you where on about GTA V - lol. Can't wait to hit the Golf course

And The Last Of Us is another good shout! However I thought it got a bit repetitive. Room after room of 'Clickers' kinda of got boring after a while. But that's just my opinion.

I just hope a PC release is imminent, I love the modding community for GTA, plus the graphics will be EVEN BETTER! Bring on Sept 17th

According to The Gadget Show (viewing distance/3) about 44" is optimal for me. I found the perfect 42" Panasonic plasma on eBay for £330 so I'm well happy. The need for full HD on the PS4 is my excuse, I replaced an old Toshiba 37" 720p set
