I would do OWA but can't justify it when the webmail client works just fine.

MatthewL Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I have a Yahoo account for use on the Yahoo groups, I have my own mail hosted at 1&1 so use their webmail and Outlook client. I also use GMail for the odd bit and at work its an Exchange 2007 setup we connect to (hosted externally) so a mix of Outlook and their hack of OWA.

JoeBloggs Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 I use hotmail mainly... Use Exchange at work - but have a Google Calendar Sync (1 way) Then I use my GMail Calendar on my android phone I have my own domain name e-mail addy too - just all 3 accounts set up on my S2.
CyberNerd Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Used to have ssh to a box running pine on the command line pretty much a rip off of 1990's Cambridge University email system before they 'upgraded' it to webmail. Pine rocked, much faster than any modern webmail system!

The fact that a traditional program can be rewritten in html is a significant breakthrough. Being able to reproduce traditional client-server applications in a native browser without the addition of plugins is a GOOD thing. The more the community is able to develop resources that are free from unnecessary licensing restrictions that prevent their application on certain devices; the better it will be for everybody.

I know you can use Powershell for Office 365 and I believe gmail has APIs you can call... as you say Googlemail has a tool that automatically creates and maintains accounts directly from active directory
