DAZZD88 Posted October 5, 2011 Posted October 5, 2011 I'm still playing on Oblivion. May well give Skyrim a bash in a year or two but can't really be bothered. I heard though that the gameplay was less complexed than with Oblivion, not sure if that takes something away from the game or adds to it.

Pretty sure your GTX 280 is more than capable of handling it.

Yea, my GPU is not too bad compared to my other components. May look a the option of getting a "hardware bundle" from Overclockers, or price up a mobo, CPU and some memory on Ebuyer. So close to Christmas though (IE - Skint).

Depends on your budget really, buy the individual parts on Ebay and hunt for bargains!

No way, I'm playing it the way it's meant to be played... on a Pee Cee with mouse 'n keyboard (I have an XBox controller if I want to revert to jerky movements - somehow I think not). Can't wait, 10 days and counting!

Can't wait, 10 days and counting! I was thinking of getting it on Xbox360 because my compy is pretty old and is scheduled for an upgrade. That said it will be quite a wait if I was going to wait till after I did the upgrade so I'm leaning towards playing it then wait.
AlfaTech Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 Fair enough, although the minimum specs aren't that high: Dual-core 2Ghz, 2GB RAM, 512MB GFX. And it only needs DirectX 9c. So it should play fairly well even on older machines.
kevbaz Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 GOTY hands down!! absolutley love this game! and best RPG of all time in my book! sure its got its quirky bugs but they add to the enjoyment! getting smacked into orbit by a giant is one of the most amusing ways to die! haha!!
MK-2 Posted November 15, 2011 Posted November 15, 2011 I know it's meant to be very in depth so I should be looking past it, but I just couldn't get past the first few minutes of jerky animations, bad scripting and various bug like issues. It totally put me off.
