MK-2 Posted June 14, 2011 Posted June 14, 2011 I have this problem, it is so bad it looks like I am winking. I went for a job interview and the stress caused a severe reaction. One of the interviewers asked me if I had a problem and I explained and said that if I took an asprin it would stop it. He asked me if I would like them to get some for me but I said I had my own. I opened my briefcase to reveal that it was crammed full of condoms. "Are you some sort of sex maniac?" I was asked. "Not at all", I replied. "Have you ever tried going into Boots with a severe twitch and asking for asprin?" i believe the correct answer would have been "i am yes.....but a safe sex maniac"
El_Nombre Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Late to the party, but Redbush tea tasted horrid I thought. Was off caffeine for a couple of months last year. The only 100% convincing caffeine-free tea was Twining's caffeine free Earl Grey.
somabc Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I had that last week but it was mainly because I tried to stay up all night to catch a 7am Flight.
EduTech Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 come to think of it i have had that twitching some times, but my caffiene intake is quite high! hehe
ConTheITGuy Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I tried once. I thought that someone had put the contents of an ash tray into the bag and brewed my tea with it. /vomit Yes, I had the ash tray thing. But if you stick with it, after not very many mugs, that goes away!
Rawns Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Wild elephants would not draw me back to Red Bush!!!!
MK-2 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 i hate you all in this thread. yesterday my eyelid twitch started again. i personally blame you all..... 1
speckytecky Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Went to my GP yesterday because the Atrial Fibrillation was breaking through despite the medication. She asked about caffeine intake - I explained I only drank decaf and she explained that decaf still has a fair bit of caffeine in it. So no more coffee or tea - or Red Bull for me now!
Rawns Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Well, I've just hammered back a large starbucks coffee, and the nice chap offered a couple of extra shots he had lying around. I can feel my leg bouncing already!
X-13 Posted June 21, 2011 Author Posted June 21, 2011 So x hows the twitching now? I've dropped my caffine intake down a bit, well a lot... And no twitching. Seems coffee is my kryptonite... but it's so tasty.
north-ict Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 I've dropped my caffine intake down a bit, well a lot... And no twitching. Seems coffee is my kryptonite... but it's so tasty. Well glad you feel better
Butters Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Coffee is a killer for me, I seem to be hyper sensitive to caffeine. One latte this morning and I'm now bouncing around like I've had an illegal substance. Just waiting for the eye twitching to come in to play now.
SmellyLlama Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 (edited) I've dropped my caffine intake down a bit, well a lot... And no twitching. Seems coffee is my kryptonite... but it's so tasty. Try 50/50 decaf/caf. Might be enough to stop you faceplanting your keyboard but not too much that you end up shaking On another related note. My other half gets 'squeeky eye' which I find hilarious, she looked it up on the net the other day after some nagging from me to do it and there's a few other people with it on you tube.
