    • Have you tried restarting it?
    • Can you log off and back on again?
    • Someone will be with you asap
    • It'll fix itself
    • It's not important, you don't need to worry

"It's working as intended, you just didn't bother to attend the (many, termly) training sessions. Oh, completion of that is linked to your upcoming performance review? Muahahahahaha"

I've started using the whole 'have you put it in my job book?' when I get stopped on my way into or out of school .. to which I often get a sheepish, but rather balshy reply of, 'well I thought you could just have a quick look' which I point out I look in the job book and work my way through them ..

To some staff I do just say now 'I told you last time, we need to replace the chair to keyboard interface' .. but those are the ones that rarely call me but when they do it's a muppet of a problem (like THE PRINTER WON'T PRINT .. so I go and turn it on at the wall where someone has turned it off for some reason known only to themselves) .. lol ..

Teacher: 'I know I should put it on the helpdesk, but . . . .'

Me: 'I'm going to stop you right there, if it's not urgent then please stick it on the helpdesk'

Must say that several times a week.
