What's missing and what scripting language? A quick google will bring up hundreds of choices... Jujuedit, Notepad++, Crimson Editor, and ConTEXT are all worth looking at.

 

Edit:Haha, 5 replies in the time it takes to get dragged out of the office and kick a wireless access point and come back again. Must remember to refresh pages before clicking reply in future. :oops:

If you want to be hardcore, go with Vim.

 

Vim for windows is perfectly good, but you do have to overcome a rather steep learning curve, I can't do without it these days though.

I prefer ConTEXT, but I get around a bit and Notepad++ runs from USB[1] which is good for hotfixing in the more traditional sense.

 

 

[1] Saves the config to a file rather than the registry.

Just to throw my 2 penneth in, I found a nice text editor called EmEditor which did the trick for me at the time - not saying that it is the best mind. It's nice to have options. I use vi on *nix mind but haven't tried the Windows port.

I use textpad for all my editing as you can have syntax highlighting, but that's probably a left over of my programming days when I used it for everything
