ITWombat Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I like what Dos_Box and his merry persons have done with the site but why stop at being a self help site for school ICT techs. EduGeek could become a whole a geek liefstyle site. In time companies would have to consult us to gauge the oppinions of the geek demographic (alright the mainly British education sector ict geek demographic).
tscnmuk Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Also Beer. I think that may have answered your IT Geek Demographic Survey with just two replies
_Bat_ Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I'd have to go for the healthy option. I just had a look (yes i'm sad) and we have yogurts, bananas and anything else remotely healthy. I'm also proud to go against the typical sterotype and state that we do not have a single alcohol container in our house. I also can confirm that I don't know what the stuff tastes like.

RobC Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 I've answered with the Pizza Hut franchise, but it can end up pretty full of beer at times too! I spent about four or five years working as a barman in various places, so there's no chance of me not knowing what the stuff tastes like
maniac Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 We've two fridges here, both full of rubbish like Beer, Bottles of wine, various containers of fruit juice, some mince stuff one of my house mates made, (been in there 2 weeks now, no one has the guts to move it I don't think) a drizzle of milk, half a roast chicken, lots of eggs for some reason. Actually, why not have a photo insted . . . .
tscnmuk Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 And just how bored of a Sunday evening do you have to be to go and take photograph's of the contents of your fridge 8)
Ric_ Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 It would be full of beer if I hadn't run out Must go buy some tomorrow
localzuk Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Hmm... You all must have big fridges if you can fit beer in! I can fit a bit of veg, a couple of jars, a tub of marg and bits and pieces and its full. All my booze lives in a cupboard...
localzuk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Well, being a vegetarian, veg is quite a key part of my diet Fruit lives in the fruit bowl, not a fridge.
webman Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Yes, they live apart for most of their lives and join forces to fight their arch enemy - THE FAST FOOD! Heh, what a marketing strategy - The Adventures of Fruit & Veg
tscnmuk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 All my booze lives in a cupboard... Warm beer? You must be joking Would much rather have rotten veg
maniac Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 And just how bored of a Sunday evening do you have to be to go and take photograph's of the contents of your fridge 8) Oh you have no idea! Mike.
tscnmuk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Was the next thing you did after putting the camera away to hang all of your clothes in alphabetical order, count the kitchen tiles, or some similar activity then?
maniac Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Actually I cleaned the kitchen! With 4 blokes sharing a house it gets pretty mucky, and unfortunitely for me I have slightly better hygene standards than some of the people I live with, so it's a frequent weekend activity. I just stick some music on and enjoy it! lol Mike.
tscnmuk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I presume the "slightly better hygene" standards are relative to the other three blokes rather than just "good hygene". I should hope so anyway
localzuk Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Warm beer? You must be joking Would much rather have rotten veg I don't like beer - prefer cider. And cider is ok warm, but nicer cold...
_Bat_ Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I presume the "slightly better hygene" standards are relative to the other three blokes rather than just "good hygene". I should hope so anyway I live in a house with three women, I don't have the opportunity to be unhygienic, lol.
maniac Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 I presume the "slightly better hygene" standards are relative to the other three blokes rather than just "good hygene". I should hope so anyway I'll leave it until this weekend and take a pic. I think a picture could say more than I could possibly type on the subject! Mike.
SteveT Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Beer, Stinking Bishop cheese (that I'm frightened to disturb), milk, PC Pro magazine and an old PSU. Don't ask!!!
Jake Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Chocolate pretty much fills up my fridge, chocolate and yoghurts.
_Bat_ Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 PC Pro magazine and an old PSU. Don't ask!!! I'm sorry but when I see stuff like this, I just have to ask. Was a lot of alcohol consumed one night and you just happened to find them in there the next morning but couldn't be bothered to budge them? I can understand finding computer components all over an IT Technicians house and their kids trying to build toy houses out of graphics cards and motherboards as opposed to lego, but a PSU in the fridge? 8O
