ICTWizard Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 the best gaming pc has got to be the Dell XPS XPS from Home Essentials to Advanced gaming needs....
acrobson Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 From experience I have found Dells to be good, reliable all round laptops (I will not comment about what I think of the optiplex's!), the laptops are generally, ro-bust, light weight, easy to upgrade as the accessibility is all access panels either underneath the keyboard or on the bottom and if you are happy attending to any faults yourself 9being that your a techie) you can save packet if you just get the 90 day warranty. That is the main down side like and the price for the replacements components when they are required and the laptop is outta warranty.
Firefly_Transport Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 What ever you pick it will be expensive and devalue faster than a Lada driven off the edge of Beachy Head. so unlesss you have a lot of disposable income, have you considered a poratble gaming rig instead, thats more like driving a Volvo off Beachy Head. Its still becomes junk at the end but its more powerful and worth more until the end.
mattx Posted June 1, 2007 Posted June 1, 2007 Also depends on what games - I still play Duke Nukem 3D on my Dell D610 !! Also still playing Tib Sun, Red Alert 3, Sim City 3000, Empire Earth & Praetorians - all run on low spec laptops.... Shadow Warrior anyone ? Ooooohh, just did a quick google on Shadow Warrior and it was reported 3D Realms released the source code on this back in 2005 !! AAAGGHH - thats 2 years wasted I could have spent making a port for this classic game......
