Huge credit to Dos_Box for all the freebies he offered at the EduGeek stand. Lanyards, Pizza, Drinks, Water, Mugs, Caps, Stickers, Pens and more! By far the best freebies in the show as far as I was concerned.

Quite a few companies from stands that I've visited regularly in the past didn't show this year. Still shocked that Apple didn't turn up and the freebie offerings from the big boys, Microsoft etc were rather blah! Budget cuts were very noticeable! :p

Once again, big up to Dos_Box for making the EduGeek stand the coolest stand at the show! :D

Can't whack the bag of goodies EduGeek give you! I was treated like royalty when I turned up at the stand. Some lady (not sure who, sorry) whipped by badge straight off, Dos_Box introduced me to everyone, ..........., and I started feeling guilty because when my badge was returned I bowed my head for the lady to put on rather than just taking it from her - I didn't mean to be rude or cheeky, I was just so overwhelmed ...

If the lady wants to tell me who she was, I'll happily offer dinner as way of apology ;)

no doubt Aggy from Net-ctrl. Don't feel bad, we all bow down in front of Aggy :)

Came home with the usual pens, sweets etc (daughter loves that bit of me being away!) but amongst the bets bits were a large A1 size colour print of my dog (remembered to take an image with me this year!), cap and lanyard from Zero_Hour at Edugeek, brilliant, lots of stuff from Aggy, calculator/ruler from somewhere else I have no idea and a type of windup torch from CopyLogic as we are trying to sort out our ICT printing. Did two days this year and just cant understand how we have just done the single day before and seen everything we wanted. Brilliant time away, just back to the hum drum routine again now :-( ...Hmmm whens that next course....ah! out again next wednesday :-)

I think I also failed on the freebie front (but was my first visit). Did get a SpireEducation mug and of course my Edugeek lanyard (cheers Tony).

Failed to get a single usb memory stick ! :(

Next year may have to plan for a 2 day visit one of which will be the freebie hunt ! :)

Missed out on the free pizza at Edugeek, and actually missed it out somehow. Wish I had gone there tough.

Got a neat little USB stick from ASC, not sure what size though, still on my way back, Clapham to Aldershot train, always fun.

Let's see... Promethean Planet tee by getting beaten at ping pong by the guy upstairs with the big multitouch board. One of the red bulbs from Ergo, an ASUS lanyard, lots of sweets from the Tap It, and a considerable amount of paper.

Next time, I think I'll get there for 10, half 11 didn't give enough time. :(

TechSupp, where'd you get the A1 print?

Oh, also got a card from one of the Multipoint guys. Yay contacts.

It was from one of the smaller stands on the gallery selling large format printers for posters. banners etc. Cant for the life of me remember the make now! Unless I ventrure into the bag of paper and I'm not ready for that yet!

That'd explain why I didn't see them then, we had to rush round gallery due to a lack of time.

Can't whack the bag of goodies EduGeek give you! I was treated like royalty when I turned up at the stand. Some lady (not sure who, sorry) whipped by badge straight off, Dos_Box introduced me to everyone, a goody bag was thrust upon me, and my badge was returned to me with a shiny new EduGeek lanyard. I didn't know where to look, or what to say it was so overwhelming. Then Dos_Box chucked an RM slate my way to have a play, and I started feeling guilty because when my badge was returned I bowed my head for the lady to put on rather than just taking it from her - I didn't mean to be rude or cheeky, I was just so overwhelmed and partly lost functionality of some of my limbs.

Anyhow, back to the goodies. I only went to the big stalls as I didn't have long so wanted to get the vital 'information'. After sitting with a guy from RM for 30 minutes I asked for goodies and all he gave me was a 6 piece lego to make a duck out of! Bad craic RM, bad craic!

I also sat through a KACE demo at Dell (because it looks a good system, not just for the sake of it), and surprisingly got a 1gb USB stick from them at the end - that is definately my best catch of the day.

Def gotta be Aggy I recon, the absolute gem she is :-)
