LeightonJames Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 You could always use the classic two ronnies sketch "Four Candles".
LosOjos Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 You could always use the classic two ronnies sketch "Four Candles". This one's particularly brilliant of the teacher goes along with it and sends them back

mattx Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 In my old job the network was on Token Ring - some of you youngsters I very much doubt have even heard of that - anyhoo, when it all went wrong we used to say the Token Ring Network had run out of tokens...... Not many laughed - shame.
mattx Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Used to use the excuse that the reason for people's PCs running slow was that their hard drives were built in the southern hemisphere therefore spun the other way which windows & OS/2 didn't like..... No one laughed at that one either. Shame......

mattx Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Also used to use 'cosmic radiation' as a good reason as to why people's CRTs used to get all fuzzy - then I used to 'whip out' Ooooerrr - my de-gaussing tool and put it right......

jamesreedersmith Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 Sparks for the grinder or some more dial tone - thats why its stuttered sometimes - when its running out we have to ration it!
sted Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 White Toner for the printer. if youre doing that and the printers are hp you can get the printer itself to display that instead of its normal ready status
bladedanny Posted December 14, 2010 Posted December 14, 2010 if youre doing that and the printers are hp you can get the printer itself to display that instead of its normal ready status Done that many times. We have a lot of Dell printers too and I'm trying to find a way to do it on those before 01/04/2011, but that's another thread.
