Guest Guest Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Well I've just got in to work after setting off at 7.55 to travel what is normally a 10-15 minute journey. As per usual the council havn't gritted. If only they had known in advance that it was going to snow I'm actually quite suprised how much there is as when they say "1-2 inches" they usually mean a few frosty patches. There is infact a good inch or 2!
FN-GM Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Just Ice. I detest scraping ice off the windscreen!
bladedanny Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Nothing here, it's very cold but no snow and the sun is out. Frosty windscreen this morning though.
Hightower Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 5 or 6 inches here, school is open, but plenty of neighbouring schools have shut their doors for the day. 1

Hightower Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 You from Durham Hightower? Come on, PICs!!! Yep, here's a couple of the school grounds after a heavy gritting in places. Up the road where I live is a lot lot worse. You can see the roads are fairly clear now though, so shouldn't have too much trouble getting home - this morning was a b1tch though
tech_guy Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 A bit of a frost here although I do feel sorry for my neighbour. As we stood chatting this morning, me manually scraping the ice of my windows and him using a de-icer on his, we both watched horrified as the de-icer ran down his windows onto the paintwork and made it bubble and flake off! That's what you get when you buy unbranded stuff from the local pound shop!
Guest Guest Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Yep, got it here, but only a couple of inches. elsiegee40 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 No snow - here - the very finest of dustings - barely qualified as a sprinkling on the car when I got up, but that's it. That just shows your age My first now was about Now 45, I think. I worked on the Woolies record counter (no CDs in them days) and remember selling Now 4!
Hawkeyez Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Having just looked on YouTube... prefer Jim Carreys "Imposter"
6Foot2 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Light dusting of snow overnight. Very cold but no windscreen scraping.
