Display power point across 3 screens

Im doing a job with my dad for a client of his who is an estate agent who is just about to move into new premises. There is a 46" screen going into the main window to display the latest properties etc. There are also 3 smaller windows to one side and he wants a 24"/26" in each and the data scrolling across all 3 (picture attached of shop frontage).

 

I have looked at powerpoint but it doesnt display on multiple monitors. Flash doesnt support a big enough file size.

 

Any ideas as to what software i could use?? The staff that will be updating it weekly arent very technical minded so it cant be to complicated.

Have you tried the presentation program that's part of OpenOffice.org? I think that has good support for multiple monitors.

I think you should be more looking at a propper digital signage setup - Xibo (first name in google) might be a good place to start looking.

Do you want different info on each screen or the same on each at the same time? If you wanted the latter then VGA Extenders are simple and quick to do

As John said, if you want the same stuff on each screen at the same time, then go for some form of splitter / extenter, but if you want different things on the differing screens have a look at Xibo .. in fact, look at XIBO to run the whole thing anyway, as it will take PowerPoints and all that jazz, and it fairly easy to manage in the back end.

 

You would set up a template for the people there to use, they would set up different schedules in the web interface, and et voila, it would all work together (obviously a little more to it than that, but I use it at my school for the entrance and it's a doddle to work and set up and maintain).

i want the 3 screens to act as if they were one big screen with the data sliding from one to the other. eg if the screens resoulutions were 1000 wide, the slide would be 3000 wide with data coming from left to right.

 

I will take a look at the xibo mentioned.

ATI's Radeon Eyefinity range of graphics cards support multiple monitors acting as one - they have some cards with 3 (or, indeed, 6) DisplayPort outputs, one of those should do nicly.

I have seen them, but i think i am going to go for something like these Startech USB 2.0 to VGA display adapter - Misco.co.uk

 

My problem was that powerpoint couldnt cope with setting the slide size to 5960 wide!!
