sippo Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Starts today!! Please sponsor me and follow my progress @ Movember United Kingdom - Home For those of you who don't know the story. I tend to grow a moustache, and only a moustache, for the whole of November to raise awareness of mens testicular cancer. Testicular cancer primarily affects younger men and is the most common form of cancer in men aged between 15 and 44. Testicular cancer is still quite rare, with nearly 2,000 new cases a year in the UK. Since 1975, the incidence of testicular cancer has more than doubled - and the reasons for this are not yet known. Thanks to advances made at the Everyman Centre testicular cancer is, with treatment, 97% curable. And that figure rises to 99% curable if it's caught in the early stages. Testicular cancer causes around 70 deaths every year in the UK. 3
sippo Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 Loving the Edugeek logo at the mo.... (see what I did there?!)
featured_spectre Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I thought it was no shaving...at all...throughout november???
sippo Posted November 1, 2010 Author Posted November 1, 2010 No upper lip, hence why it's called Movember. Mo is slang for moustache.
TechMonkey Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Ohh me too. Went for the psycho trucker last year, attempting the handlebar this year. Don't think there is enough time though.
thepineapplehead Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I may have read about this in this month's issue of Cosmo. It's not mine, honest. It's the missus. She forced me to read it. Honestly
GrumbleDook Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I'll be refraining from any trimmage of the goatie and 'tache.
GrumbleDook Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 I anyone doing this as a team? If not then Team MoGeek might be an idea.

GrumbleDook Posted November 1, 2010 Posted November 1, 2010 Being well placed in the facial hair stakes I am trying to work out my options. It seems a tad silly to remove it all ... I have the options of no shaving at all so to go for the Sea-Sick Steve look http://www.seasicksteve.com/pics/images/10.jpg Or perhaps trim the sides of the goatie off to give me something a little more striking http://aka-img-2.h-img.com/media/img/s/Q/N/F/QNF-4090193.jpg Or trim it back close then let it grow. Ideas are appreciated.
