PS2 ball-mice - free to a good home

We've just replaced the mice in our IT Suites with optical ones - if anyone wants 40ish PS2 ball-mice, then they're yours. Come and collect them (we're in Reading) or cover our postage costs.

Quite possibly, but I thought I would offer them out before just binning them. You never know what some people might want - have a look at some of the stuff on Freecycle and you'll see what I mean. In fact, maybe I should stick them up on there!

Actually when I first saw this I was thinking a large block of Swiss cheese (made of wood) infested by 'mice'.

 

I should be an artist.

Heck, if people want them for an art piece, that's fine by me - it just seems wasteful to bin them without first seeing if there can be a second life for them, in whatever form that might take!

I still have a stock of old mechanical PS2 mice... being too cheap to keep a stock of shiny new mice, they come in quite handy when the little darlings decide to destroy the shiny new ones.

 

EDIT - Plus if you have just bought shiny new mice for all your machines, how long before a couple of them grow legs and run away?

Maybe this is what we should do - 101 uses for a mouse. Take out the roller balls and play snooker would be another option...

Use the mouse balls as table top football balls.

Have a mini game of bowls with them.

Put them on freecycle - it is amazing what people want - we have a few guys who refurbish old machines for the elderly and disable and they always take any spares we have - however old!

Definitely. I've spoken to Computer Aid about them, and they're happy to take them off our hands, so we'll be sending them there. Much better than binning them.
