If you're logged on to Facebook, anyone can now see EXACTLY where you are in the world right down to your address & location on a map!!! TO UNDO THIS CHANGE - Go to "Account" > "Account Settings" ...> "Notifications" > scroll down to "Pla...ces" > Untick the 2 boxes > Save changes." People that i know have been saying it is not true.

You can disable it in your preferences now (and I have)... particularly unimpressed with the feature that enables my friends to say where I am. I'm about to update my facebook privacy settings guide to get this one in it! Disable in three places: Account > privacy settings Click on Customise Settings under the "Sharing on Facebook" heading Change 'Places I check in to' to 'Only Me' (you have to choose Custom to get it) Uncheck 'Include me in "People here now" after I check in' Scroll down to 'Friends can check me in to places' click on [Edit settings] and disable it.
