More Dwarf!

I know there's a few fans of Red Dwarf on here, some of you may already know, but if not - 2 sets of 6 episodes have been confirmed for Dave in 2011, and set to be filmed in front of a studio audience once more.

 

Any thoughts? I'm looking forward to it despite the bad critique of Back to Earth (as I actually enjoyed them for the most part)

im not sure the last ones werent great and tbh since its been only one of the 2 origional writers doing it it lost something perhaps its time to let it die

I must admit i loved Red Dwarf it was one of my favorite series as i was growing up, but it has been done to death by the time it got to the end of Season 5 all the jokes were being rehashed and it lost its edge. I will probably watch it for the sake of nostalgia, but i am not expecting much.

I don't think it'll be much good any more, the earliest seasons were the best, and it got progressively worse. The last 3 parter was terrible, to say the least!

I thought up to series 6 were great, but series 7 onwards a bit dissapointing. Hated the introduction of kachanski. A bit concerned about these new ones, back to earth wasn't great. I'll still watch em though

News of this leaked via Twitter days ago I hope it will be back to the good ole days but we'll have to wait and see.

Agreed! I forced myself to watch that 3 parter, but it was a case of "What the Smeg was that". (Q - Can I say that on here!)

 

Sometimes it's best to leave things in the past. But I live in hope it'll be good, and I dare say I'll watch them!

Red Dwarf has never been the same since Rob Grant left at the end of Series 6. After that it has gone down hill, Series 7 was ok...ish, 8 was awful and that 3 part thing was just painful. I might try and watch the new series but it will be nowhere as good as the original and best series 1-6.

I don't expect that they will 'recapture the magic' [or just insert your own nonsensical phrase here] However we can always hope?

Funny isn't it, I don't see series 5 or 6 as their best ones. The first 4 were by far the best 4.
