but only for a few months!

 

Today i finished work for my 3 months of leave to work at outdoor events. So if anyone wonders why i dont reply to anything its because im not here!

 

thank you to everyone that has helped me so far and as Arnold Schwarzenegger said i'll be back!!! :D

All the very best for your venture. Wish I could afford to do something like that, but with a new mortgage and what not I think I may have to wait a few years before I can start living life again!

oh did i forget to mention im being paid to work at these events (quite well aswell :))

 

@sidewinder - i was going to hand my notice in and then go off travelling during the winter, but they didnt want me to leave so gave me unpaid leave instead!!

i had a friend that did that sort of thing for a mexican burrito stall, went to all kinds of festivals for free, and had use of better facilities ;)

i used to do some event work, mostly bar work, local footie/rugby, the races. got to go to twickers once and watch England thrash Wales. awesome :)

i'd never get a 3 month sabbatical though.

this is what i do, apart from i dont work on the mexican stand - although if it was england (which i assume it is) i know the guy that runs the company (although it could be the other as there are a couple).

 

I work indian trailer so if anybody is at a music festival and sees a purple trailer im cooking it!

Nice. I managed to get the same gig when I handed in my notice to go traveling, sometimes you just get lucky I suppose :)

Arrrgghhhh, you're working outside as in DAYLIGHT?! As in fresh AIR?! And with sky and clouds and things?!?! And you have to deal with the public?! (Shudders and runs away to hide in the darkened server room).
