Ethernet Projectors

Does anyone have experience of using Wireless or Wired (TCP/IP) projectors?, we have an difficult project to install projectors in 3 rooms where running A/V lines is going to be especially difficult.

I have installed a few both wireless and wired, they do work well however can be a little tricky to setup and flakey at times. Always nice to have hardwired VGA, composite video to fall back on. Why are these 3 rooms going to be difficult to run cables in?

We its basically due to the teachers desk being a fixed island with power but no A/V, The only way to get VGA/sound to the wall would be to dig up the floor.

I see, is this a new build then? Is there a room below and do the rooms have false ceilings? Anyway of dropping a power pole from the ceiling to the desk?

With just an AV faceplate in there

or you could drop a power pole down to the teachers desk and install faceplate within this...... this is presuming the teachers desk isnt directly infront of the projected image ...

What about a vga over cat 5 system - use a cat 5 cable but still a standard vga signal.

This is how i have the connection setup in out main hall. The projector has a vga cable into the ceiling which connects to a vga - ethernet which then travels around 40m to our cab then converted back to vga for the 5m run to the face plate.
