@solitaire89 - Dont wanna drive on the motorway after having a drink lol. Besides...I wouldn't wanna come back into work lol.

@mrdrabble - We will all be your friends...pay for us to go on holiday and your welcome to come with us...just make sure you book time off the week beforehand!

I'm only just up the road from my place too, so I always walk home for lunch. Please note, the operative word there - WALK! I don't want to come back swaying! :)

Meh, is your office on the ground floor? You could crawl back, but stairs can be a problem IME... ;)

Just stay in the pub?! ;) Again, do I have to think of everything?! ;)

Sadly not, on the top floor! And I'm not convinced that crawling back along a main road would be entirely a good idea - I'd ladder my tights :D

I'm partial to a nice pint of local bitter, we have many small breweries near me :-)

Strangely enough I live about ten minutes walk from the Carlsberg brewery in Northampton, just the other side of the river. When the wind is blowing the right way we can smell the hops.

Is that local enough?

Not that I even drink.

Is the fact that I am horrified at this statement indicative of my dependance on alcohol or (as the Daily Mail would probably have it) a reflection on society in general? (Or both?!)

I used to work in office next door to the brewery. The smell they pumped out day in day out made us all feel sick.

The way I see it, we all have the choice - I don't have a television either, I'm happy to do without it - but I do drink copious amounts of fizzy pop at times.

I've still got a headache.

Hair of the dog?

We have a crate of Carlesberg under my desk in the office, waiting of the right occasion. It has sat there since xmas because a) only 2 of us drink beer and it was given to us as a team so we'd feel bad about scarfing it and b) none of us particulalry like Carlsberg. We'll probably take it to the Staff Summer BBQ and neck it all!! :drunken_smilie:

I'm off up to the local micro-brewery tonight, which means lot of beer but no hangover :-)

I live about ten minutes away from Wentworth Brewery :-) they make a lovely Pale Ale.

Thwaites Smooth on draft very nice

Also drinking Thwaites makes your web filtering a tiny bit better (as they are also Smoothie users!)

Whisky lovers: try Glenkinchie 20yr old. Expensive... but worth it.

Problem solved - remove tights (not meant in any dubious way, before someone takes it the wrong way :D) et voila - no laddered tights!
