gavins38 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Add another vote for Heroes and Voyager. How about Alias? That's not been suggested so far and is one of my favourite tv series.
creese Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 criminal minds goes down a treat I'm with you there.
36Degrees Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 criminal minds goes down a treat Another vote here for that one. And I can watch Big Bang over and over again, especially from the third (current) series. Bazinga!
kearton Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 +1 vote for The Mentalist If you like Simon Baker then you'll probably also like one of his older shows which is sometimes repeated on some UK channels (Five USA??) The Guardian
Gerry Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I really enjoyed Life. Shame there aren't more than 2 seasons (and the 1st is only around 12 episodes, 2nd has around 20). I also watch The Mentalist, Castle, Bones, Numb3rs, CSI (LV, NY & Miami!), Supernatural, True Blood, Fringe, Stargate Universe and Dexter. Oh, and I almost forgot to give Firefly a mention! I'm getting the itch to watch it again... I'm waiting for delivery of Jekyll on DVD - saw a clip and thought it looked interesting. 6-part mini series by the BBC.
Butters Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I'm shocked that no-one has mentioned Sons of Anarchy, possibly the best thing since the Soprano's.
creese Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 anyone enjoy Shameless? On Tv and outside my door.
richardp Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 And of course the greatest tv show ever made ... Deadliest Warrior !!!! I love the fact that the "highly specialized simulation" program appears to be an excel spreadsheet !!!! :-)
mavhc Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 The Mentalist is just an unfunny Pysch. New stuff to watch: Justified. Slightly new stuff to watch: Stargate Universe, Glee, Community, Party Down, United States of Tara, Nurse Jackie, Archer, Hung, Important Things with Demetri Martin, Being Human, Life and Times of Tim Things you really need to be watching: Weeds, Breaking Bad, True Blood, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Californication, Dexter, Mad Men Older stuff that's good: It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Saving Grace, 30 Rock, Bored to Death, Eastbound and Down, Frisky Dingo, Sarah Silverman Program
Pete10141748 Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Dragonball Z or Pokémon or Naruto! Anime makes me ^_^
TechMonkey Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 I'm shocked that no-one has mentioned Sons of Anarchy, possibly the best thing since the Soprano's. Good point. Really good that one.
kearton Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Californication Yes! Series 1 was fantastic. Did Series 2 ever make it to the UK? (I've yet to see it)
SimpleSi Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 West Wing The Wire (need to become immune to bad language and random violence but the story line/acting is superb) Damages (Didn't think season 3 was up to same standard at times as previous 2 but 1st two are absolutley brilliant )
AngryITGuy Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 (edited) If your old enough to remember and care for that matter you could watch the remake of V on syfy But on a more serious note Day Break was a great series think it was on FX quite sometime ago and is definitely one to watch as are both seasons of Sleeper Cell. SpuffMonkey Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I tried to watch The Mentalist, but all I could think of was Alan Partridge. I thought - bad copy of Jonathan Creek....and that's saying something!
Tcsltd Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I really enjoyed Life. Shame there aren't more than 2 seasons (and the 1st is only around 12 episodes, 2nd has around 20). That was really good!!
mstarkie Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 We have been in exactly the same position. And here is what we did! Move on to Greys Anatomy for definite (we found it better than house) And then Greys Anatomy and Private Practice alternate (you will know when the time is right, trust me) Also Trauma looks like the new one to watch. Im guessing you have a "source" for these. Private practice hasnt come to this country yet i dont think but there are ways and means as you may know. Matt
Tcsltd Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Private practice is on Living usually!! Also Sparticus is good!!! watched about half of the first series- and from a female point of view....Hubba Hubba!!!
SYNACK Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Burn Notice is great, I like Psyc to as it is quite funny. V is good also (after the first couple of eps) and Stargate Universe is slowly starting to graduate from definite CryFi to a better mix with SciFi in it. Eureka can be quite funny in a cheesy way especially the first couple of seasons. Warehouse 13 can be quite good to as a comedy, Better off Ted is also a comedy that can be quite funny (again after the first few eps). The first two seasons of Dexter were epic, and Eleventh hour was good even if it only lasted a season (US version). Life was good but only lasted a couple of seasons and Numb3rs was good for the first 2-3 seasons. Pushing Dasies was fantastic and it was criminal that it got cut short, it was done by the same writers that did the also great and shortlived Dead Like Me. Terminator the Sarah Conner Chronicals was also quite good especially towards the end but got killed in favor of Dollhouse which only really got up to speed in the last six episodes. As you can probably tell, I have watched a lot of TV
Duane_Dibbley Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 the wire, the wire, the wire. last season is not as good as the others, but still worth a watch. Season 1,3,4 are my favourite bits of TV ever
