Primus Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Hi, just wondered, does anyone have a spotify invite please? Cheers!
localzuk Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I've got some. PM me your email address and i'll send you one.
localzuk Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 Do you need one? Spotify Invite Not Needed? They've now patched that hole... The page it talks of sends you to the invite page now.
localzuk Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 If anyone else wants an invite, I've got 7 left at the moment. 1
powdarrmonkey Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I don't understand. I use Spotify and never had an invite; have I missed something obvious?
localzuk Posted March 10, 2010 Posted March 10, 2010 I don't understand. I use Spotify and never had an invite; have I missed something obvious? They introduced an 'invites only' system a while back. So only those who are in can invite others. 1
RingOfFlame Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I don't understand. I use Spotify and never had an invite; have I missed something obvious? Invites are made available to users who pay for a subscription.

RinSewand Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Indeed - the Beta was invite, and the origional service was invite only. Users who signed up then got ten more invites without having to pay. Then they opened it up to anyone, it got popular, so they restricted it again, so users with invites now are premium users (no ads, and the ability to use mobile clients) and peopel who had invites left over from the origional incarnation. I'm rather tempted by premium as aparently it will cache songs on your iPhone (and probably other deivces) and let you listen when you've no net connection - need to look into this a little bit though! 1

Yep. There's also an Android app which caches. I use it all the time. For £9.99 a month, its a bargain really! Note - i've now got 4 invites left. Edited March 11, 2010 by localzuk 1
apoth0r Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Music on demand, free and unlimited music without download Decent alternative to Spotify, no invites or registration neeeded
Domino Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 There's we7.com as well. browser based, same subscription/ad model as spotify
listen2blacksabbath Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Dont. site is loaded with malware Your computer is infected. Antivirus 7 will now repair it for you... Oh no you B*&%%$ wont! Ouch! well i use ubuntu at home so dont think the malware would find its way on my pc. thanks for the info though. ~Dan
AshF Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 I've got 10 Invites for Spotify cached. Anyone wants one, drop me a PM with an e-mail address. Like the meerkat says... 'Simples!'
Isomulli Posted March 11, 2010 Posted March 11, 2010 Yeah they've really closed the hole, one needs an invite to use Spotify for reals. I was looking for an invite for a musician friend of mine who became a father yesterday and has to spend time at home - this gift would be greatly appreciated! If any of you have xtra invites, I'd be more than grateful...

On the sharing page it states "You can invite friends to Spotify Free if they live in Sweden, Norway, Finland, the UK, France or Spain."

Yeah my friend is Finnish as am I So, an invite for my friend would still be most appreciated... Edited March 12, 2010 by Domino Please don't post with info on how to break Spotifys terms of use

I can vouch for this - they released the Symbian version of the app a few months back and I'm now hooked. I have a few hundred songs cached at any one time, and when I'm in range of any open Wi-Fi it just connects through that. The premium service is definitely worthwhile, and you can know that you're doing your part to stop the service from crashing and burning as not financially viable.
spudd Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I'm after a spotify code if anyone has one left. Much appreciated. Thanks
hyphen Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 i could use one invite too, if anyone have one to spare..
