Who has the oldest server here? It might be worth something...

So you think that old server is worthless? Think again - HP are celebrating 20 years of their x-86 architecture by offering a free ProLiant G6 server to the school or business that has the oldest Compaq/HP SystemPro server still in operation!

Take a look here - If you've still got one of these machines running, register it and see if you win a replacement!

It would be pretty embarrasing for the government if one of you were to win this, but I know many of you have complained about the outdated systems you're running ;)

I found a HUGE black box in a cupboard, which turned out to be the first server the school had.... Not sure how old it was, but I found it next to a calculator that had pull levers and dials to set/calculate numbers.

Got our first server from a RM Connect 2.32 network still plodding away after 12 years, Pentium III 450MHZ, 128 mb pc100 ram, and 2 x 9GB SCSI HDD's.
