Gonk Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 How about: 1. Jaguar S-Type R 4.2 V8 Supercharged. They normally come with Sat Nav, Voice Activation, Park Aid, Xenon Headlamps etc. Its a lot of car for £15,000 or less. The engine can be chipped if needed. 2005 JAGUAR S-TYPE 4.2 V8 R 4dr Auto [Euro 4] Saloon 2. Jaguar XJR 4.2 V8 Supercharged. Similar money to the S-Type. 2003 on are an all aluminium body. Huge performance and top spec. 2003 JAGUAR XJ Super V8 4.2 Supercharged 3. Mazda RX-8. Not many 231's about good spec and obsece performance. I've had a Golf GTI, it was a pile of poo in comparison. Golf bats do fit on the back seat (I used to have one )2004 MAZDA RX8 4dr [231] Coupe 4. Volvo V70 T5. a left field choice really, good performance, good spec and tuneable. 2006 Volvo V70 2401 cc T5 SE Sport have a look at those to be getting on with Ross
CHR1S Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 @ Gonk Sorry just had an inspector morse moment then with those Jags lol they are styled for someone a bit older than me RX8 - does that come with a lifetime supply of oil and carbon tips? @Si - Whatever I get part ex for it tbh
K.C.Leblanc Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Oh, how about a stupid suggestion. Alfa Brera, the performance, handling, reliability, residual value and economy will be worse then a 3 series. And it's front wheel drive. But..... http://www.carpages.co.uk/alfa_romeo/alfa_romeo_images/alfa-brera-s-20-05-08.jpg You must be thinking about it.
K.C.Leblanc Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 you could get an Mitsubishi evo. NO CHAV CARS
daz191 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 BMW X5? Luxury, speed and power. 4 wheel drive is quite handy too!!
stevenwba Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 BMW X5? Luxury, speed and power. 4 wheel drive is quite handy too!! Next car for me i think!! 3.0D though not the 4.4i, cant afford to run that beast
Gonk Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 @ Gonk Sorry just had an inspector morse moment then with those Jags lol they are styled for someone a bit older than me RX8 - does that come with a lifetime supply of oil and carbon tips? lol, well the XJ is deffo not you Chris, you have to be over 80 to own one. The S-Type a bit marmite. If you have the right colour with the right wheels it does look fantastic. Slate Grey with 18" Indianapolis alloys is a nice combo. When I used to sell them, the styling was the biggest obsticle. Having said that, once people had driver the R, they seemed to get past the look of the car. Ask the Mazda dealer nicely he'll probably give you oil for the first year is you say you'll buy one! Ross
daz191 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Next car for me i think!! 3.0D though not the 4.4i, cant afford to run that beast I suppose 19mpg isn't to everyone's taste (or pocket!)
stevenwba Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 I suppose 19mpg isn't to everyone's taste (or pocket!) might aswel get me a supercharged range rover vogue if im happy with that kind of mpg lol
machin05 Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 How about a VW Phaeton. If you get the 6.0 W12 you'll get the performance you want, plus the luxury and they're quite rare... Volkswagen Phaeton - 6.0 W12 4MOTION 4d Auto (4 Seat) - Facts & Figures - Parker's I've seen a 2nd hand 50k for £11,995 on pistonheads

Unfortunatly its pretty much a Golf/A3 in a more sexy body so a bit of a side step really. @krisd32 - Evo's are great but again its the image that puts me off.
INeedAUsername Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 nothing wrong with mercs mate - OK poor in the snow but reliable
CHR1S Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Phateon/X5 etc - Should have added no boats barges or chelesea tractors
DSapseid Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 If you were considering the 350z what about a skyline (not a chavy one but one that is basically a 350z but with 4 seats!). My dad has one and its amazing!! 3.5L V6 automatic with tiptronic override for a bit of fun. It holds the road so well, i would say better than my MINI does and thats sayin something as im sure you know! Oh and did i mention the noise!! The added bonus is that it has 2 seats in the back and the leg room and head room is ok unless your over 6'2" then its a bit of a squeeze! The funniest thing is that on the underneath of the boot lid it shows a picture as to how to fit 2 sets of golf clubs in!! 1
laserblazer Posted January 11, 2010 Posted January 11, 2010 Renault and Ford are working on a new small car for women. They are mixing the Clio and the Taurus, and calling it the "Clitaurus." It comes in pink and the average male thief won't be able to find it, even if someone tells him where it is. 3
