Simon_Gibbs Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I'd quite like to give it a go as well, if there are some invites going spare please!
Hightower Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Well, I've got no-one to invite so if you include me I'll be sure to use ALL my invites up on EduGeek users.
littlehoops Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 If someone would invite me I would give all but one invite to edugeek users. (My boss is after one) Thanks Hoops
dwhyte85 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 If anyone can extend an invite my way i'd be most grateful:cool: I'll send you nice e-mails for a week.
ZeroHour Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) I am still tbh missing the point of wave. I would like a beta key to see but I really see it as bad rather then good right now (but I have only glanced at the videos) for the web as a whole. Edited October 14, 2009 by ZeroHour
JJonas Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 If someone would invite me I would give all but one invite to edugeek users. (My boss is after one) Thanks Hoops I said something similar earlier
painejake Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Yeah id love to see what its all about not to mention pass on the 'crazy' to other edugeeks
mattmoo Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 i got my invite a few days ago, its pointless unless you have people to collaborate with. I wait for the rest of the sharepoint community to join and then i will se a use in it. In short google wave is a collaborative environment where you can join at anytime and catch up with how the conversation has progressed thanks to replay. Also giving real time viewing of the wave allowing it to be a realtime forum software too. The possabilities really are endless and anyone who uses office communicator / email or anything similar, can see how this could benefit the workplace not to mention the vast use it can bring to the classroom. Matt Matt
fiendishlyclever Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 (edited) Edit: I'm out of Google Wave invites now. They seem to take a while to be sent out so be patient people I've invited/nominated. (Think of a wiki, email and IM all put in a melting pot together. Wave is what came out.... sort of....) Edited October 15, 2009 by fiendishlyclever No more invites 2
mattmoo Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 I have just written a blog post for you guys just so i can show you what i have seen in google wave so far. No marketing poo on my blog just the facts and screenshots. Matthew Hughes My dive into the Google Wave Matt 1

russdev Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Someone has invited me in but still not got the invite come through yet.. Russ
leco Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Out of mild interest - do you share/collaborate with the whole world or just with selected partners?
browolf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Someone has invited me in but still not got the invite come through yet.. Russ on the invite wave it says "Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick. "
browolf Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 Out of mild interest - do you share/collaborate with the whole world or just with selected partners? from what I can gather there are public waves but these often get ruined by bots and trolls. The best way to collaborate is in private groups but that means we would all have to share our google account with 1 central person. 1
russdev Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 on the invite wave it says "Invitations will not be sent immediately. We have a lot of stamps to lick. " Yes they say takes about 7 days. Seems a bit longer with mine but anyway sure it will come.. Russ
