I'd be perfectly willing for EduGeek to pay for 2 twin rooms for our members of

And who would I get to share with

Don't remember being offered a free room when the Edugeek conference was so far away for me that it was practically on another planet......

Would love to come though - still not THAT near - anyone else going from down this way????? Willing to share fuel costs

@ DB if and only if no one else takes you up on that i wouldn't mind staying over night :) especially if Shaun is going to be their and we can hit the bar again ;-) Find a nice young bird to share the other bed with even better (free aswell mind) *joke*

@ Witch, everyone get's a free meal paid for by Edugeek in return :-) and thats not cheap from what i remember @ both conferences, amongst everything else.

@ GATT, Oh yeah!! ;) and what might that be then eh? hehe

And for those in Northamptonshire that can't make it to Reading on 21st there will be an overview from a local school that has been working with Microsoft and Dell on Windows 7 at the next IT Managers' Meeting. Not as extensive as the day in Reading but will still be a good session. More details to follow.

Hi Tony,

Can't guarantee availability without dates etc, but would you like me to see if there is one of our more technical people available to attend too, if you want a bit of an extended presentation? (Or possibly to video conference in?)

For others, if there are regional IT co-ordinators meetings (say with 50+ attendees) I can see if MS people are available for sessions. Just PM or email me

Thanks for the offer Ray, I'll drop you an email shortly about it. Gotta wait until next week when i can check full details with the school anyway, apparently they are all doing this 'holiday' thing at the moment!

Ric and I shall be stayimng Thursday and Friday nights and coming down by train (Pendalino to Euston and short hop from Paddignton-saves a fortune from list prices direct to Reading!)

So, who wants an EG t-shirt, hat and USB button (so I know how many to pack)?

The infamous USB Button. I suspect you'll find a ready demand from each of the presenters! That'll be 6 then :D

Right now let's see if my Network Manager can raise the Ante without falling on his err... ante

I won't be staying overnight but may be able to stay for a few extra hours.

I will be writing up a breif summary, most of my notes were mental :p so last night didn't help with me remembering anything ;)

I should have something up in the next day or so.

What a great day. Thanks to Ray from Microsoft for the 'Windows 7 Deployment Seminar' ;) we all had a great time and gained a lot of information from it.

Thanks also to all of the EduGeek members present (pretty much everyone!), and please don't be afraid to come and have a chat with us anytime you want to let us know what you think, and I hope you all got some EG freebies, as we packed as many as we could.

And I had teh pleasure of buying James (EduTech) his first White Russian cocktail last night (lager boy that he is).
