everton4europe Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 Does any one know where i can find NDIS or pktdriver for the admtek AN983 network cards. I am trying to use ghost to image a suite and ghost wont recognise the drivers i have for this card!

You'd be better off making a .img file of the disk [cant remember the proggy to do it - there are more than one - but its freely available]. Please please do not provide a link openly on here too. tarquel Posted July 25, 2006 Posted July 25, 2006 if you are using the two floppy's, then the second presumably has the ghost.exe on it. I guess you "could" copy the first boot disk for him, but even so, I believe that the first has copyrighted software on it which would still be illegal hehe I'm know it sounds like I'm nit-picking - but I'm not meaning to really lol The drive and file with the settings would be the best bet really "just-in-case" but providing that file exists on driverguide, he should be fine anyhow Cheers Nath

everton4europe Posted July 25, 2006 Author Posted July 25, 2006 Just sorted it. The drivers from the site you linked to. I copied the contents of the protocol.ini file in the ndis2 folder into the parameters of the new card you create. and hey presto it worked! Thank yo for your help

rajm62 Posted May 21, 2007 Posted May 21, 2007 I am having the same problem with this driver. I am trying to creat a ghost image or this pavilion n5290 laptop and I cannot get an ndis driver to work. Any help would be appreciatel. When I look under device manager, it shows Admtek an983. I've tried too many from download manager and they won't let me download without paying anymore.

DMcCoy Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Just tried them, sadly the NDIS drivers wouldn't PEIMG. The Windows one will PEIMG to the capture boot image but not the deployment one. What drivers should I be trying to inject - Windows or DOS? I can't get my head around the fact that the client machines will PXE boot into the WDS shell, but won't connect to the WDS server to capture or deploy an image. Surely the fact that it's got to that interface means it has a valid network connection? Windows. The Windows deployment OS is loaded into memory using the universal PXE network drivers which is why it loads without needing any. After windows has started to boot the pxe drivers will play no further part. There are universal PXE drivers for dos (as used in ghost etc) but not for windows afaik. 1

When I try to load the Discover image on one of my VIA Rhine based Nic motherboards it just goes: c000021A {fatal system error} The NT Initial command process system terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x000000001 (0x000000001 0x000000001) The system has been shut down and thats without me doing anything Works perfect on everything else.
