Hi All Can anyone point me in the right direction please, I have a cubase file with midi tracks recorded and when i play it I can hear it from the speakers. However there is no activity in the default input channel so i can't record an audio track of the midi and then an audio mixdown. This was working a few weeks ago but now doesn't, and i have looked and looked but cant seem to reconfigure either cubase or the pc to enable me to get back to that point. We have a cubase 4 with Creative SB X-Fi sound. Any help would be appreciated.

On our system (papercut and Toshiba copiers) users have to select which account they want to charge the copying too even if the have only one account.

Has any one got an idiots guide to this software please. Ive got it connected to office 365 and it can communicate with the email address, but nothing is coming through to WHD. It works OK for web based requests but the powers that be require staff to be able to send an email to the support email address and for the life of me i cant get it going. Any one got any experience with this and willing to share?

When Microsoft added groups to the interface I disabled it for all users with powershell script. However, staff are now asking for permission to create their own groups. does anyone know how can I reverse the permissions just for certain users(Staff). Thanks

I had exactly the same issue. I got a reply from Hitachi Europe saying that it a usb bandwidth problem and nothing to do with powered hubs etc. What I have done is to purchase a separate USB card (Startech 2 port PCI card part no PEXUSB3S23) and installed that. I did have to move the keyboard/mouse to the new card as the smartboard doesn't seem to like USB 3, and plug the smart board into the onboard USB 2 socket. The smartboard is the only thing connected to the onboard USB ports. That seem to have worked for me. I've got another 8 to do. Hope this helps someone.

Hi everyone. Has anyone come across this error in SIMS :-"The file C:\Users\000813364\Documents\My SIMS Documents\USER PROFILE\uk-english-v3-whole.dict' already exists. : System.IO.IOException." This shows up when trying to take registers and also when trying to get into Assessment.I have been waiting for SIMS support to get back to me about this. I have tried the KB107167 2108-9128-6300 from SIMS My Account but that doesnt work. Any ideas please. Thanks

Hi all Came back from holiday and found main DC (windows 2000 running ad, dns & dhcp) with error "Error Message: Windows Could Not Start Because the Following File Is Missing or Corrupt: \Winnt\System32\Config\Systemced" Anyway fixed that by replacing system hive, so now it boots into windows and I can logon to the server, however if I try to load the ad users and computers msc it comes up with the following error Has anyone seen this before? How do I fix this? I have got 2 windows 2008 servers on the system and they are running ad, has the original win2k server lost sync with the domain? can I demote and the promote that server to recover the situation. Any help gratefully recieved

Has anyone used a Windows Tablet PC for SIMS. One of our admin staff wants to be able to walk around the school showing teachers how to do things in SIMS. So, has anyone got any suggestions for a Windows Tablet PC to run SIMS on our wireless network. Thanks

Hi Im having trouble installing printers on my new 2008 R2 server, the local subnet is fine but when trying to install a printer on a different subnet It fails. When adding a printer it asks for a tcp/ip address and port name after which it trys to identify the network card on the printer (all integral network models) and as it cant detect it comes back as generic. I accecpt the default generic card and continue to add the driver. In the print management it shows up as offline and I cant print a test page. The printer is connected to the network I can get the printers embedded web page and I can still install it again on our old W2K server. Any ideas?

Hi Folks Two of the drives in our Iomega 400r have failed so it wont boot, lost both main and backup Win 2003 os. I have got two replacement drives but mislaid the recovery DVD, has anyone got one that I could have a copy of please? Thanks

I have the M-Audio USB keyboards connected to the a spare motherboard usb header, therefore the students cant change the usb port its plugged into. Once drivers have been installed by the administrator the students can use the keyboard without problems.

Im still having problems with SP3 sysprep, so I have attached an image that shows where it falls over. Anyone seen this before? Any ideas on how to solve. Thanks in advance JonR

I hope someone can help me. Is there a way of opening Cubase so that the students dont have to keep on setting up sound card, plugins etc and other settings. The sudents have a mandatory profile so any changes they make to their local profile are not saved back to their network profile, therefore requiring initial setting up every time. Thanks JonR

Hi all I have a room full of Fujitsu Siemens Scienic Edition X102 to clone. I have installed winxp sp3 and all the software required on one machine and then syspreped it. When I ghost the image back to the same machine winxp starts the mini setup process (with the WINXP logo and rolling dashes) and then crashes. The logo stays on screen but is courupt and I have to reboot. Its as if the basic vga driver is courupt. Any ideas how to solve?

Just used enclosed files to create a Fujitsu Siemens X102 ghost boot disk. I use Ghost 7 console for imaging. chuggs along nicely at 555mbs.AN983.zip

Hi all I have a W2k domain and W2k clients, on some new machines installed last sept they have suddenly gone slow, ie logged on as domain administrator open my computer and the local drive appears straight away but the network drives can take upto a minute to show. Any ideas as to what can cause this, checked for spyware etc (none) anti virus up to date. These computers are in the 6th form, could they be bringing in P2P software or any thing else. If I reclone them with an image from before sept the problem is still there, could it be DHCP/DNS settings. Stumped!

I have a computer in school that runs apps ok but IE browser is very slow to display page. For example on google.co.uk page clicking on the NEWS link i can wait for upto 60 secs before the page displays. all other computers in school ok (about2-3 secs to display). have recloned the machine still no joy and used the same image on another identical machine and that computer is ok? any ideas

OCR level 2 Nationals requires students to create directories and shortcuts, the students are locked down in that they cant right click and dont have access to file menus! any ideas?
