Cheap LCD monitors

I'm breathing a bit more life into some computers but would like to put flat screens on them. Any idea where I could source some "cheap as chalk" monitors? 15" would do and they don't need stands because I've got 70 odd good quality HP ones lying around.

Try searching for "job lot monitors" on ebay.

 

I don't think you'll have much luck anywhere else, unless you can find a corporate that's getting rid of a load.

I went to Bowlers Computer fair in Manchester towards the end of last year. There were a number of dealers who had lots of monitors. The cost was between £35 and £60, depending upon the size and quality of the screen. I suspect that you'd get a deal if you wanted to buy quite a few from one (or more) of the dealers.

Yeah i would look at the HansG monitors, very cheap and we have them through-out the school :-) (17" WideScreen)

 

Perfect for a school because there pretty well built monitors, and cheap! :-)

Misco have got some 15" tft's @ just over £43 at the moment, or if the budget will stretch, 19" widescreens @ just over £60. We got our last big lot of monitors from them when we got rid of the last of our CRT's.

I'd second eBay as a good source of job lot monitors. Also, there's a number of second-hand dealers around the country. We took the school minibus down to Seek-IT in Southampton for 30-odd second-hand LCD screens for around £30 each, but it depends on what part of the country you're in. Don't one of the forum sponsors do second hand stuff?

I'm pretty sure its a proview one that misco are selling for a few pence more than that (rebraned as Misco value)

 

Misco will want to charge you over £18 shipping on that many though!
